This is a question that everyone was asking, especially on social networks. Is the author of the terrorist attack in Paris which cost the life of a German tourist called Armand or Iman? As relayed by Le Figaro, a document, which would be an extract from the Official Journal of March 22, 2002 containing the decree of naturalization of members of the attacker’s family, did not go unnoticed on X (formerly Twitter). On it, the names, first names and dates of birth of members of the attacker’s family are visible. And the latter is designated under the name of Iman Rajabpour-Miyandoab, born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, in March 1997. According to a police source, the terrorist’s first name was changed in 2003, when he was elderly 6 years old.

It is for this reason that the police and the intelligence services know this individual. In particular, he has committed several offenses in recent years, under the first name Armand. This first name also appears on his driving license and his record, which appears when processing criminal records. If the reasons are still unknown, the attacker changed his identity when he was a minor. Armand Rajabpour-Miyandoab’s parents had fled Iran from the Mullahs to reach France, where they had a boy.

The latter, born in 1997, converted to Islam during his youth, before showing signs of radicalization. At the same time, he had considered leaving for Syria.
