True story- Back in 2005, my brother and I were sent to the US for a business trip. We couldn't afford a house so we had to rent and even then we needed a roommate to split the rent with. After searching we were able to rent a house with another roommate who was from Pakistan. We could tell from the beginning that he hated us, he didn't do his share of the chores, would steal our food, and he didn't work.
He would often steal money from my brother and I, he stole about $500 from me alone. We were obviously angry but decided not to bring it up as we were leaving in about a year anyway. The worst thing was that he would constantly say bad things about the US and India. He actually got it in his mind that Pakistan's nonexistent space program was better than NASA. "We will liberate Kashmir from India" he would say every week.
One day, my brother and I had a tough day at work so when we came home we decided to have a good drink and a smoke (I was only 19 years old at the time and the legal age to drink and smoke was 21) and so we had to take it inside but our roommate started complaining about how drinking and smoking were "haram" and we shouldn't do it. My brother respectfully told him to leave us alone and that it was a hard day.
If he was respectful, we would have stopped, but ironically, he does drugs too. Including heroin and cocaine. The conversation got heated to the point where he attempted to physically attack my brother. My brother beat him but it made too much noise and the cops were called. All 3 of us were arrested but I was let go because I had nothing to do with the fight, although I did face a small charge for drug use and underage drinking and smoking.
Moral of the story. Pakistanis will always abuse the country they are living in and they don't make good room mates! My brother faced no charges as it was all self defense and he paid off all of my charges. The Pakistani on the other hand was sentenced to 3 months in prison.
