Man arrested for allegedly supporting establishment of M'sia-Israel ties

Malaysiakini : Police have confirmed the arrest of a 36-year-old man to assist in the investigation regarding his statement suspected to support the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Israel.

Bukit Aman’s CID director Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the man is suspected of making the statement during an online interview with an Israeli social media influencer named Hananya Naftali, which was uploaded on a local media portal's TikTok. According to him, the man has been placed under remand for three days starting today until Friday.

"The investigation into this case is being carried out by the CID's Classified Criminal Investigation Unit, Law/Prosecution Division (D5) under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948, Section 505(b) of the Penal Code, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998," he said in a statement tonight.   Shuhaily added that as the case is still under investigation, he advised the public not to make any comments or speculations about it.

"The police remind the public to be wise users of social media and not to misuse these applications for purposes that violate the law," he said. Recently, a video went viral showing a man believed to be a Malaysian citizen engaging in an online interview with Naftali.

He was alleged to have said that Malaysia should have diplomatic relations with Israel and requested the opening of the Israeli embassy in the country.

Falcon : 1. Those who robbed our coffers with faulty ventilators? Have they been arrested? Detained? Bank accounts frozen?

2. A mother seeking the return of her child despite a Federal Court decision, still waits?

3. What is the lastest on the pastor and others victims of forced disappearance? Are they alive, or murdered and buried? And if so, where, by whose instructions?

4. A young UUM student found dead in her room still unaddressed. Where comes such barbaric and mean silence for grieving parents and others?

5. Have we forgotten raped and murdered Norietta and others? But - Wow, a man allegedly supporting establishment of M'sia-Israel ties in 2021 is arrested under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948, Section 505(b) of the Penal Code, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998!

Friends - are WE missing something here? One thing certain, the attention of governments and international media has us on their radar! Enjoy! In the meantime, several prestigious US university's leadership are facing grand jury probes and calls for their resignations for aiding, abetting directly, indirectly or by elegant silence antisemitism!

We already have Hungary, Poland and the Netherlands moving to shut migration doors and mass deport certain migrants who according to their statistics have contributed to antisemitism and crime. The US and UK seem moving in the same direction with homeland security pressures.

The recently concluded UN based conference of hostages raped, tortured and crimes against women and children has put previous noise makers and mass demonstration organisers, on the defensive since Oct 7th, in view new evidence and recorded images on the medieval barbarism of Hamas and others. The last thing Malaysia needs is to be tagged an antisemitism nation.

It will have far reaching impact and implications for diplomatic, bilateral and trade issues, least we forget trying to appease local haters of Jews and their state!
