Israeli forces battle Hamas inside Khan Younis
Israel says its troops have been engaged in some of the most intense fighting of the war with Hamas. It comes as Israeli forces have entered Khan Younis, the Gaza Strip’s second largest city. Israel says its aim is to eliminate the group regarded terrorist by the EU and other countries.
