Erdogan calls Netanyahu ‘butcher of Gaza,’ says he’ll be tried as ‘a war criminal’ By Christine Douglass-Williams

Robert Spencer : Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also recently declared that Israel is a “terrorist state” and Hamas is a “political party.” Speaking at a pro-Hamas “Great Palestine Rally,” Erdogan threatened Israel: “We can come at any night unexpectedly,” while the massive crowd chanted “Turkish military to Gaza.” Erdogan has also declared Hamas “a group of mujahideen fighting to protect their lands.”

Erdogan views the Taliban as having the same views as Turkey, which is enough to demonstrate exactly where he stands. Erdogan considers the Gaza war to be a holy war, so it should come as no surprise that he calls Netanyahu as a “war criminal.” It is also noteworthy that Turkey has shut it doors to Palestinian refugees, as their plight is likely to contribute to the propaganda war: as the war goes on, Palestinian death and displacement increases, and so do anti-Israel, anti-Jewish global sentiments.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan claimed on Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be tried as a “war criminal” after Israel’s war against Hamas has concluded.

Erdogan does not recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization and has been deeply critical of Israel’s campaign in Gaza. He compared Netanyahu to genocidal dictators of the past during a speech during a meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul.

“Beyond being a war criminal, Netanyahu, who is the butcher of Gaza right now, will be tried as the butcher of Gaza, just as Milosevic was tried,”

Erdogan said, referencing a former Yugoslav president. “Those who try to skip over the deaths of all those innocent people by using the excuse of Hamas have nothing left to say to humanity.”…
