Germany: Muslims linked to jihad activities have firearms licenses, law-abiding sportsmen are denied them

Jihad Watch : What could possibly go wrong? You wouldn’t be so “Islamophobic” as to suspect that something is amiss here, would you?

You can’t make this up: as of February 2, 2021, there were 24 people in North Rhine-Westphalia with a firearms license, despite knowledge of their links to Islamist activities!

For twelve of these people, the withdrawal of the gun license is not even enforceable. The Ministry of the Interior revealed this at the request of the chairman of the AfD parliamentary group in North Rhine-Westphalia, Markus Wagner. And this statement does not exactly inspire confidence either:

There is “no case” in which a gun license has been refused on the basis of an official suspicion of Islamism. Markus Wagner comments:

“Of course, it’s not that Islamists need a legal gun license to do bad things.

They also get their weapons illegally. Nevertheless, it is irresponsible that alleged Islamists are allowed to keep weapons, while it has been increasingly difficult for law-abiding sport shooters and hunters to possess them for years.”
