Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Malay Mail : PUTRAJAYA, April 8 — The Federal Court today struck down the Perlis
state government’s final attempt to argue why the three children of
Hindu mother Loh Siew Hong should be recognised as Muslims, despite
their previous conversion being ruled illegal.
A three-member
panel chaired by Chief Judge of Malaya Datuk Seri Hasnah Mohammed Hashim
delivered the unanimous decision alongside Federal Court judges Datuk
Nordin Hassan and Datuk Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera.
Today’s decision follows an application filed by the Perlis state
government last year to review its decision denying them leave to appeal
the appellate court’s ruling on the conversion of Loh’s three children
to Islam without her consent.
The latest ruling effectively
endorsed an earlier Federal Court decision which had in May 2024
unanimously decided against the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay
Customs Council (MAIPs), the Perlis government, and other respondents in
the years-long legal battle to have the children’s conversion to Islam
declared unconstitutional.
FactsMatter6628 : Enough is enough! Let this great mom and her children have their lives back. Apex court has made its decision and all other parties that have no direct interests in their livelihoods stop all these nonsense.
BlueLynx2013 : One fellow is responsible for this mess - Asrie.
YellowSinga3707 : A day to rejoice VICTORY for the mother n her children who had very difficult journey since the fanatics were hell bent to 'take away' her children to another religion. Can't imagine how happy mother n children must be feeling now...kudos to the judges who made a very wise decision.
They say Islam is peaceful, compassionate and forgiving...did any of these clowns from JAKIM, MAIPS n the Perlis govt lived on these principles when they went after Loh ...showing their might all the way up to FC!
Can't understand which universe these religious bigots came from!
MS : Knowing the fanatics and inciters involved, I have every reason to believe more harassment is in the works for the Loh family. Especially now that the “ no compromise” fellow who lusts after “victory” over minorities has had a taste of it
Gerard Lourdesamy : The Federal Court decision is correct based on the applicable legal principles. MAIP had no legal basis to seek a review of the previous decision of the apex court.
The size of the ego of the Mufti of Perlis is not a legitimate reason for the Federal Court to exercise its limited review jurisdiction under Rule 137 of the Rules of the Federal Court 1995. The court should have penalised MAIP with costs of RM100,000 for being a vexatious litigant. My sympathy is with the mother and not the arrogant Perlis Islamic authorities.
Actions like this that border on vindictiveness gives Islam a very bad name. Leave the mother and her children in peace. If the children want to become Muslims they can do so when they turn 18.
