Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Malaysiakini : “When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society,
over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that
authorises it and a moral code that glorifies it.”
- Frédéric Bastiat
COMMENT
| When the MACC chief commissioner outed the whistleblower in the Sabah
corruption scandal, we moved past the something rotten in Denmark stage
to full-blown Denmark is rotting territory.
The outing of the
whistleblower was the final nail in the coffin with regard to the
graftbusting agency’s credibility. It also demonstrated Madani’s lack of
competency and tactical thinking.
OCT : Corruption is here to stay in Malaysia. Rakyat has seen from the time of old to now, Corruption didn't diminished but became an institution. No politicians can survive without Corruption.
PH politicised that they will rid the country of Corruption but when PH is in power, Corruption became cerita lain. Anwar is an accidental PM. He is a good politicians with lots of visions but achieved none in Corruption. PM is the most powerful person in Malaysia. He can hire and fire anyone he likes without giving reasons.
Anwar has the cheek to tell the Rakyat that the judiciary is independent. Just look at NR 1MDB case. NR can sack AG and forced him to leave office under escort. NR appointed a new AG who hold a PC to announce that NR was not involved in 1MDB scandal. No money was lost.
This is a clear cut whereby PM interfered with the judiciary. No PM including Anwar will allow Corruption scandal to impact his Govt. The implications and effects are too great and big. It can topple the Govt. So die die, the Govt will protect its own family members.
Anwar knows that if and when MACC, PDRM and AG pretends not to see, not to hear and do nothing, there is nothing Rakyat can do even when Rakyat protests, shouts, pull hair and demo. PM Anwar and component parties must survive at all cost.
So the Sabah scandal will never see the light of the day. Malaysia is a clean and efficient govt even though the world knows that Malaysia is the most corrupted country. It is impossible for Madani Govt to take down Corruption when the Govt knows it can cause it's own downfall. Anwar is not foolish to do it as he wants to on as PM forever
MS : First off, that opening quote perfectly describes what Madani and the rest of the Ketuanan Klan are all about.
Corruption in Madanistan is indistinguishable from the dominant culture making it a salient feature of every Malay regime - those which came before and this to come.
It has come to the point where eliminating it will be akin to erasing Malayness from Malaysia - an impossibility.
The outing of the whistleblower’s full name only proves the above.
