I've read "Sword and Scimitar" and am over halfway through "Defenders of the West". Should be required reading for all Christians to inform us and make us proud of those true heroes.
I especially admire canonised saint King Louis IX, as depicted in "Defenders of the West".... no doormat but one who had the heart and soul of a fearless and dedicated Crusader.
