Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Apcet Thug
Malaysiakini : Finally, Malaysia is making its name on the world stage. With multiple
wins through its surprise entry, ‘Operations Disrupt East Timor
Conference’ aka
‘
Ops Apcet II
’
, it has embarrassingly turned the ‘Oscars’ into an Malaysian event.
The Malaysia’s haul includes:
Best Picture - ‘Operations Disrupt East Timor Conference’, produced in 1996
Best Director - Megat Junid Megat Ayob, then deputy home minister
Best Actor - Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, then Umno Youth secretary (issued apology in 2001 for his 'wrongful performance').
Vijay47 : Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, you and Anwar Ibrahim seem to be pulling out all the stops in a desperate attempt to earn international applause and for Anwar Ibrahim himself to be regarded a world leader.
Sadly, you have managed to gain only pity and contempt; Mission Gaza was a dead duck from the word Go.
Every aspect of the ridiculous plan of bringing Palestinians to Malaysia for medical treatment revealed the total absence of intelligence – if indeed health was the concern, this could have been far more effectively achieved in Palestine itself, rather than lugging them and companions 7,500km to Kuala Lumpur.
No, that would not have been flamboyant enough for Anwar Ibrahim’s quest for fame.
Of those flown in, none seemed to be particularly injured and in fact able enough to kick chairs and destroy flower pots. If 41 were patients, who were the other 86 flown in? Tourists who wanted to taste satay and Malaysian Hospitality?
Worse, medical attention was at a hospital not open to the Malaysian public and the visitors were housed at accommodation also not available to locals. Is this a new form of Malaysian Discrimination?
Apart from perhaps Egypt, why did none of the Arab countries offer shelter to the victims of a war created by Hamas?
In fact, they simply looked the other way as the Caped Crusader from Malaysia rushed in hopefully to fill the void. More disturbingly, there is talk that the patients themselves were unwilling to come to Tanah Air, they had to be coaxed and assured of return.
Whyever not? We have always been told that Malaysia is Islamic heaven for all shades of Muslims!
We are now being asked not to view the Palestinian rioting at Wisma Transit with harsh condemnation – they, poor things, were still experiencing the stress of war despite the generous helpings of satay and ketupat.
But Malaysian law has been broken! Shouldn’t the foreign culprits face the same enthusiastic consequences as Bangladeshis, Myanmarese, and Indonesians would be?
Referring to renowned Islamic scholar Zakir Naik, Anwar Ibrahim justified Malaysia’s refusal to repatriate him as India demanded, saying that he had not broken any law here.
Religious incitement is not illegal? Leaving that aside, the Palestinians have indulged in riotous conduct right here in Tanah Air! Also not illegal?
One last question – what happened to Mercy Flight No. 2?
