Rudyard Kipling"
āWhen you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā
General Douglas MacArthur"
āWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā
āIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā āOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
āThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā
āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā āThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
āNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
āIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Anwar subtly jabs at Ramasamy, denies neglecting Indian community
Thursday, May 02, 2024
If you do NOT know what a Chameleon is?
Malaysiakini : KKB BY-ELECTION | In a veiled swipe
against former deputy Penang chief minister P Ramasamy, Prime Minister
Anwar Ibrahim denies that his government has ignored the plight of the
Indian community.
Anwar said leaders who criticise the government
over its policies involving the Indian community have malicious intent
to confuse them and create distrust towards his administration.
āThatās
why I said he is trying to instigate and influence the Indian people to
not understand, the one who is actually instigating has vested
interests and is actually rich people, and sometimes he is stubborn
because his party didnāt give him a position, that is not my problem.
āThis
is a problem that must be faced within the party, some of those are my
friends too, what can I do?ā he said during an interview session dubbed
āSoal Jawab bersama Perdana Menteriā broadcasted on mainstream media. He also said the government has never sidelined the Indian community and
that various initiatives have been implemented to empower them.
Ghost Rider : If PH win, Anwar will continue with his policy of Quota System, more taxes and control of small businessmen, more money for Hamas and Palestine, more Hadith and Islamic law for our education, more Hindus will be converted to Muslims, more businesses will be bullied by people like Akmal and the Malays youths vigilante groups, the Non-malays will have less freedom of speech, Zha Kar Naik will organise more hate speech seminars, more bonuses and salary increases for civil servants, more and more oppressive policies for Non-malays and Anwar will continue to smile and keep silent and his mouth only when anything Muslims and Malays are questioned.
NMSparks : How many civil service, GLC jobs given to Indians?
How many scholarships given to Indians?
How about small trader licenses by municipalities? Is the practice in many places of giving them only to the majority race still continuing?
GrizzledWarrior : DSAI - you seriously need to prep better or hire a new script writer!
āThatās why I emphasise to the Indian community, donāt be angry or jealous about the bumiputera programmes. Ask what we need to do.
"
What nonsense is this? First, you invite my Malaysian Indian brethren to "tikam" you if they feel wronged by you, now you say that Malaysian Indians are "angry or jealous about the bumiputera programmes"?
I do not think that the NMs, including Malaysian Indians, are angry and jealous about your programmes to better the lot of our Malay brethren.
As Malaysians, we should all be happy to see our brethren get ahead.
The fact of the matter is that the lot of all Malaysians should improve regardless of race, religion or creed.
Looking at how much was allocated for Malaysian Indian betterment programmes and how many Malaysian Indians there are in the country, do you not come to the conclusion that the sum allocated to them is wholly disproportionate to their composition in the national makeup of our country?
PMB : Whatever help this govt gives to Indians is no different from previous governments. So what is he saying? The government is helping Indians and that justifies publicly insulting and humiliating them? Previous govts which Anwar used to bitterly criticise never insulted Indians like this. He expects to get away with this too?
Ghost Rider : He must apologise for presiding over the conversion of the Hindu to Muslim. A Malaysian PM should be religiously neutral in his official capacity.
R.Venugopal : PMX reply to the Indians is just a show to cover up. Please provide data to show what is the contribution to the Indian society in terms of education, housing, employment, discrimination, etc. Show details and the results achieved.
Agree, you may have enriched the Indians who hold positions in PKR, MIC and Gerakan but what have you done for the normal people. Hinduism being attacked by Zakir Naik and his team which violate the Rukun Negara, what have you done about it. You are a PM and be sensitive to the needs of the nation and focus on selected community.
When you are in power you are a different person and when you were the opposition you had all the solutions to the problems. Today, you are more interested in championing world issues and forgot we voted you to address local issues like cost of living, housing, education and employment.
Your aim is to be the PM and a survey will show how popular you are with the voters. You will be shocked by the survey results and hope will re-assess your method of running the country.
Dr Suresh Kumar : āThatās why I emphasise to the Indian community, donāt be angry or jealous about the bumiputera programmes. Ask what we need to do.- There you go again. Degrading and humiliating the Indians again and again by twisting words with a forked tongue to gain traction from a certain community that does't even support him.
This coming from a PM nevertheless. Do the Indians who slogged clearing the dense jungles where Syah Alam, Bangsar to name a few suburbs stand today? Many died due to malaria and other diseases. They also slogged building the roads, in the rubber plantations and in the railway service.
Is this how a PM of a country repay? No mention of educational opportunities or job opportunities for them but mere hot air and lies after lies on top of humiliating them using slurs. I disagree with the way Ramasamy is handling this guy but he needs to be taught a very bitter lesson starting from KKB. No two ways about it.
The Indians should unite and say enough is enough and do not let any politicians be it Indian or other races to take their votes for granted. Correction- Do the Indians who slogged clearing the dense jungles where Syah Alam, Bangsar to name a few suburbs stand today, deserve this kind of humiliation?
