No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Will non-Malay discontent bubble up in KKB polls? By Commander S THAYAPARAN (Retired) Royal Malaysian Navy
Monday, April 29, 2024

Malaysiakini : “Therefore, those who call for voters to boycott are people who are not responsible for our country’s democratic system.” - DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke (Gutless Loke, so what about you who have let the trusting voters down so far, this is what happens when you gave a blank cheque to Sheikh Madani? By right you should be falling on your own sword!!-Edit

COMMENT | The upcoming Kuala Kubu Baharu polls could be an indication if the non-Malay polity is slowly giving up on Pakatan Harapan’s politics of compromise, and weaning itself off a system predicated on slowly eroding constitutional rights of Malaysians in favour of a theocratic model.

Now of course the Harapan candidate may win but the margin of victory and turnout is also a snapshot of how non-Malays feel about how their elected representatives act for their interests in the federal and state government.

Now as someone who is on record as writing that voting is the least a citizenry can do in a democracy, what Loke should be asking is why is there a call for non-Malays to boycott this election?

Anecdotally speaking, what really bothered many non-Malays about the whole KK Mart fiasco, for instance, was that the vitriol that led to violence was sanctioned by Umno, a coalition partner whose influence is not predicated on electoral power but by personalities close to the prime minister.

Humiliating a non-Malay business in an attempt to make a populist appeal was petty and shocking to many non-Malays who just want political and racial stability.

Read in full here........

Kilimanjaro : The DAP is not going to do it. The PKR is not going to do it, It is not even worth mentioning Amanah. The defence of a secular Constitution now falls on the NM.

The MCA and the MIC paid a heavy price for their insolence and allowing a free hand to UMNO. Eventually PAS hijacked the initiative from UMNO. Hopefully the NM in KKB will send a clear message to reject PH.

MS : "...remained silent when his comrade’s cars were firebombed and KK Mart was an attempted target of terro*rist attacks.

Instead, he expanded the role of the religious bureaucracy, reminded everyone that the educational quota system was here to stay, presided over the conversion of a Hindu youth, rabble-roused on the Palestinian issue, made expensive overtures to the civil service in the form of salary and bonus enticements, and gave a platform to the corrupt elements of the Umno regime."

An accurate summary of the Madani Manipulator's achievements to date. Seriously overrated by the non-Malays and definitely underestimated by them for the disunity and damage he is capable of wrecking, he has to be sent a message in KKB - his game is up, now and forever.

Headhunter : "Instead, he expanded the role of the religious bureaucracy, reminded everyone that the educational quota system was here to stay, presided over the conversion of a Hindu youth, rabble-roused on the Palestinian issue, made expensive overtures to the civil service in the form of salary and bonus enticements, and gave a platform to the corrupt elements of the Umno regime." In a nutshell, absolutely. He has gone deaf and dumb since becoming PM.

Eaglebaby05 : YES SIR ! You are absolutely right ! The NM grassroots MUST send a " warning wire " to this so-called Madani govt. Billion ringgit budget to Jakim -- when even Mahathir dissolved it. Open and public support for an unfair QUOTA system.

The NMs NEVER expected Anwar to do this . The Malay polity with the help of Malay government machinery squeezed Anwar for almost 20 years --- - IT WAS THE NMs who came solidly behind Anwar . And now -- Anwar does what is Best done by Brutus.

The "old MCA and old MIC " of the early 70s did a BRUTUS on NMs at that time ( when NMs had the political strength ) by agreeing to make Special rights to be continued forever -- when it was very fairly set to be a Temporary help to push up Malay Development. They could have agreed to EXTEND the rights period for another limited period.

But NO - MCA and MIC agreed to perpetual Special rights. But does UMNO today ever has gratitude for that --- your guess ! NMs Lost almost ALL rights -- and now Indons , Pakistanis , Banglas and many many Middle East Arabs claim the SPECIAL RIGHTS that is denied to NMs -- Thanks to MCA - MIC . A BY-election is the right time to show NM dissatisfaction -- without up setting the boat !

AnotherKomentar : Race and religion are now so entrenched in the subconscious of Malaysian politics that it’s now becoming a national psychosis. This psychosis is choking social cohesion and slowly making Malaysia an unattractive economy.
