Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Malaysiakini : COMMENT | With the holding and
sharpening of swords in videos that can be seen as provocative
incitement, Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh has taken a page
from the party’s past in stoking racial issues.
It is his gambit to seek a calculated advantage in national politics. A Russia-trained medical doctor by profession, Akmal is supposed to follow the Hippocratic Oath not to cause harm to society. Instead, the disease of dehumanising racialised politics implicitly threatening others has taken root (again).
As a doctor used to seeing pain, he appears unable to appreciate the damage he is doing. So
far, there have been three violent incidents against KK Mart, which
Akmal continues to target despite calls by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong
Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and fellow party/government leaders to
stop.
Instead, Akmal has carried on, smiling as his rhetoric leaves few smiles. These
actions reflect poorly on Malaysia and the government of which his
party Umno is an important member. The issues go to the viability of
Malaysia as a safe centre for investment, loss of jobs for Malaysian
(mostly Malay) employees, and a deepening political polarisation in
society.
Falcon : The SOP of the past which I had highlighted and my call for forensics on the five pairs receiving little or no traction shows there is a bigger play here!
Our past shows when two powerful clandestine forces collide it starts with drawing in the minorities as the fodder of the escalation.
With elegant silence and 'childish spineless advisories' from PH even shockingly a refusal to use the laws of the country raises suspicious that cannot be ignored?
A classic example is the soundbites from an alleged Israeli hit man's foray here allegedly to settle scores with an operative from Israel turned into 'breaking news' is a joke while a local hitman and bully continues to spearhead provocations and criminal intimidation and vigilantes and those behind terror attacks remain untouched?
Who decides urgency and priorities?
The Malaysian born hitman must realise this is certainly not pre-1969 neither peninsula Malaysia, for the matter Malaysia insulated from global condemnation and international sanctions something the nation will not survive!
So far only HRH our beloved King and his fellow royal brothers have issued stern warnings.
Of course Sarawak politicians reacted strongly, while UMNO Sabah whispered while fearing a wipeout in the coming state elections?
The DAP is in comatose period.
The body language and elegant silence of the Prime Minister raises concerns!
Which raises that question - 'what Unity Government?'
And please tell us - whose running the country and based on what - the Federal Constitution, the Police Act, or the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC)?
Or an alleged 'dasar pusing pusing?'
Koel : We see the quote about evil thriving when people fail to speak up in this nutjob Akmal's theatrics.
The Home Ministry, the Communications Ministry, the Unity Dept (or whatever sham that is), the ministry for economic affairs and a whole host of others have failed Malaysia in their duty in this instance.
As for Umno, it is a failing party run by corrupt cowards,so nobody expects them to stand up or rein in this juvenile delinquent.
But where are the medical council and the medical associations that should show some professional integrity and state a stand.
Are they now encouraging their members to turn violent, threaten harm, turn into hooligans who wield weapons, and disrupt law and order? If so, the medical people have overnight become the worst scum in this country. Here you have the clearest statement to date on the stain on their Hippocratic oath.
What is this lot doing?
It is now incumbent upon these medical bodies to show the country that they have minimum standards for their members.
Likewise whatever Russian university that awarded this fool a cert in healthcare. Is this the quality of your medicine? Are you graduating butchers to run riot in other countries.
And finally all the cowardly political parties in govt and opposition that have failed to act immediately. You are the worst cowards. This fool has threatened law and order. If reports are necessary, why are you lot not rushing to all police stations in the country to keep the country safe?
Maintaining a cowardly silence because your cowardly leaders dare not act? All pathetic
Knucklehead : UMNO will be history come GE16, no more kampung folks to fool, no more gravy train to buy voters, no more Malays to bully, all moved to PAS!
They can forget about the Indians and Chinese voting for them, all the NM see is Akmal screaming and threatening Malaysians with a sword, no longer the dacing or UMNO or Barisan, all replaced with that obnoxious Akmal's face!
Will anyone with brains vote for UMNO?
Dream on!!
OCT : It has become crystal clear in Malaysia that whoever says and act to protect race and religion will have impunity. No enforcement agencies, ministers, PM, Sultans and even Agong dares to reprimand and chastised this person. This is the reason Akmal why Akmal is dared to say and act as he knows nothing will happen to him.
However, swift and firm are taken against NM for hurting and insulting race and religion as shown by the two NM prosecuted before the next sunrise with fines and imprisonment. This is the way how race and religion matters are treated in Malaysia.
So far there has been no cases for 2R culprits by breaking the laws but lots of NM has been fined and imprisoned. NM has to live with unfair and non negotiable treatments in Malaysia.
MS : This rabble rouser, a product of the NEP, comes in the tradition of Anwar Ibrahim whose own path to Putrajaya was marked by street demonstrations and the making of incendiary speeches. Which is one reason the Madani Man is encouraging this sustained incitement with his silence.
In any case, Malays , also by their silence, appear to welcome the instigation and the spreading of unease even as they religiously fast, indicating that the two are not in the least incongruent but in fact go hand in hand.
Which is why apart from Prof Tajuddin Rasdi's heartfelt apology to the non-Malays for the antics of the s*umbag and his Madani backers, there has not been even a whimper from the Malays.
The Malays simply do not care that "putting Malaysia as a whole at unnecessary risk" is also bad for them given that special allowances and cash handouts may always be demanded and obtained any time.
