Malaysiakini : INTERVIEW | Pakatan Harapan should not abandon its ideals and risk losing the coalition’s core supporters in an attempt to win over far-right opposition voters, according to PKR vice-president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. In an interview with Malaysiakini this week, he said Harapan will never be able to out-Malay its rival Perikatan Nasional.

Once you are seen to have no firm principles or proven to be a liar, it is hard to get back the trust and your political enemies smell blood and continually set the agenda.

Even the slogan "Zero tolerance for corruption" can only work if there is no " balancing act ". Once there is an element of compromise , it is a slippery slope downward to corrupt practices and protecting the corrupt.

That Nik Nazmi should somehow regard it as a feather in Madani's cap that it has allowed for canteens to remain open during Ramadan and for non-Muslims to eat there. It is a actually an insult to Islam when it denies non-Muslim students the right to eat in a canteen during Ramadan.

How does the right wing who oppose non- Muslim students eating in the canteen hope to be defenders of Islam if they are manifestly unjust and bigoted? Again, Kafir issue was an own goal by Fadhlina. Yes, it is good not to use insulting terms on non-Muslims but she should not have backed down by apologising. She riled up the right wing and the Mufti of Perlis too waded into the controversy by questioning her Muslim faith and then she apologises.

How has that helped her secure the Malay vote? Well, I dare say it will be used against Madani and portray it as being anti-Islam who " disapprove " of Quranic words like Kafir because they are controlled by DAP. We are currently caught in a rut of corruption abetted by endless racial and religious provocations.

Race and religion should not be used to secure votes because ultimately it is immoral and no good can come out of it. Instead, Madani should focus on bread and butter issues. Fix the economy, the environment, improve the education system and bring the races together because only then will Malaysia be able to progress.

So why don't you use the time you have in office to made some differences before all is too late. Give them so many privileges and billions being poured in Islam and Malay NGO and yet the majority of them still think you are a DAP puppet.

Correct should had paid more attention to NM rather than just taking NM for granted like we are nobody. Show to Madani that his Madani is only about MM agenda and never about Malaysia as a whole.

At least PN secretly give billions of businesses to NM but I doubt under Madani, any NM will gain to benefit from him. Everything is Melayu this Melayu that, Islam this Islam that.
