Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Sock-gate: Preacher files 6 police reports over death threats, slander
Thursday, March 28, 2024
Malaysiakini : Independent preacher Firdaus Wong has filed six police reports yesterday over alleged death threats and defamation. In
a Facebook post yesterday, Firdaus divulged that all reports were
lodged at the Wangsa Maju police station against five individuals,
saying this was “as a start”.
“One report (was made) about a death threat against me and my family members. “Another report was against threats to beat me up and the rest (of the reports) were for slandering me,” he said in the post.
Firdaus, who is also the owner of The Merdeka Times, said he will also be filing defamation suits against those who have allegedly slandered him. “I
often advise my friends not to act beyond the boundaries of religion
and law, so let me walk the talk by allowing the authorities to take
actions against them.”
No sabotage
Last week, Firdaus dismissed notions that he spread the issue involving socks bearing the word “Allah” to sabotage KK Mart over business rivalry.
In a post on TikTok, he said that his business venture, Mykampung
Freshmart, has not been operating for some time as opposed to what
certain parties have claimed. “I apologise to Malaysians because I did not explain that Mykampung Freshmart had already ceased operations about two years ago.
“Many
social media users have attempted to create a perception that the socks
issue has an element of sabotage by me based on business competition,”
he said. The controversy surfaced in recent weeks when images of
the Miranosock socks with the word Allah being sold at KK Mart’s Bandar
Sunway outlet went viral on social media.
Following the uproar, KK Mart apologised
to all its customers, particularly the Muslim community, and confirmed
that immediate actions had been taken to halt the sale of the socks. KK Mart, its founder Chai Kee Kan and his wife Loh Siew Mui - who is also a company director - have been charged with deliberately hurting religious feelings over the socks controversy.
The company’s former supplier, Xin Jiang Chang, and three directors were charged with abetting the crime. All parties claimed trial to the charges. KK Mart is also suing Xin Jiang Chang for alleged sabotage over the socks issue.
Proarte : My choice of convenience store is going to change as a result of the "Allah" sock debacle.
To my mind it was premeditated with the twin purpose of causing economic sabotage and raising the political profile of Dr Akmal and UMNO in the eyes of the Malays which have deserted them.
KK Mart is a victim of economic jealousy and " Ketuananism". As such, all fair minded Malaysians particularly the Malays, must come out in full support of KK Mart. It should be our " go to " store from now on.
GoldenPigeon0510 : A good person should have alerted KK mart of the find instead of viral it. Now the country is at a turmoil and many lives are ruined.
natozlighg : Telling the public that he had filed police reports just to give the impression that he is the innocent party. A sheep in wolf clothings. Stop all your dramas after the damage is done to society. You should be investigated and appropriately charged if found guilty.
6th Generation Immigrant : Preacher Firdaus Wong would first have to explain when and how he found the Allah Socks in KK Mart, so instinctively one may add, to then record and viral it digitally immediately instead of going to or warning the KK Mart management or making official reports to JAKIM, JAIS, MAIS, PDRM, MCMC and so on.
What was his intention in virally sending it out immediately (no justification sought at all) and whether that act carried was innocent and piously done without bad intentions.
Commenting has been disabled for this story : The various Chinese mualaf (convert) preachers have always been a curious bunch to me.
They claim they want to dakwah (spread Islam) to the Chinese.
Yet in all their sermons and books, they speak and write in Melayu and their audience are entirely Melayu.
Shouldn't they be speaking and writing in Chinese?
They claim that they have only converted their religion and not their race, and they still remain as Chinese.
Yet they consistently criticise the Chinese race and culture and talk about racial topics.
If you wish to dakwah to the Chinese, why attack the Chinese race?
By their dress, speech, and conduct, they have adopted Melayu conventions unrelated to Islam.
They claim to want to spread Islam to the Chinese. Yet by their words and conduct, they are confrontational and antagonistic against the Chinese.
They claim that religion is their calling and all they are concerned about is Islam.
Yet they are involved in various businesses and commercial endeavours. What does that have to do with religion?
The more cynical among us might suspect that they are pandering to the Melayus for personal gain.
I would urge these mualaf preachers to challenge that perception by being more welcoming and respectful of other races.
Prove that indeed their goal is to show the best side of Islam to the Chinese and Indians.
There is no need to attack other races and religions if your goal is to promote Islam.
GalaxyM : You can soon join force with Riduan Tee and Teo Kok Siong to pose as the traitorous axis of 3 combo to seek favour for your self aggrandisement.
Tembikai : As a good Muslim and during the holy month of Ramadan, you should have just alerted KK Mart on this matter. If KK Mart persisted in selling the socks, then they have bad intentions.
If they apologised, accept it, give them a warning and move on. Instead, you and that Akmal, chose to blow up the issue. This is not what is taught in Islam.
