Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Harapan practices autocracy, not democracy - Muhyiddin By Shamz Johan
Saturday, March 09, 2024
Mr Muhyiddin
Malaysiakini : The Pakatan Harapan-led administration practises autocracy, Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin has alleged.
This became apparent when Harapan came to power after the 15th general election, he claimed. “We (PN) don’t talk aggressively about democracy, but we practice it.
“They
(Harapan) bluster about democracy, but observe autocracy,” the Bersatu
president said in his policy speech at the 2024 PN elected candidates’
convention at the Sunway Putra Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, today.
He cited the alleged blocking of a TikTok video by Putrajaya MP Radzi Jidin, who talked about the falling ringgit. “Why the need to block it (the video)? Did they (Harapan) not used to champion the cause of media freedom last time?
Putrajaya MP Radzi Jidin
“It’s
as if they were champions of democracy and human rights. But now that
they are the government, they are using power to crack down on freedom.
Clearly, they are hypocrites,” said Muhyiddin.
Social media control
The Pagoh MP also accused the Anwar Ibrahim-led administration of
trying to control the social media narrative, as it feared losing the
people’s support. The people are currently dissatisfied with
various issues plaguing them, including the rising cost of living, and
the falling ringgit, he noted.
“Maybe the Madani government
realises the chronic ‘trust deficit’ problem it faces from the rakyat.
That’s why it’s trying to control the social media narrative. “They
don’t want the rakyat to criticise the government for its weaknesses,
which makes it unpopular. That is why social media is closely
scrutinised,” said Muhyiddin.
The former prime minister noted that
he too became the subject of much criticism when he led the PN
government, but never once had he restricted the people’s freedom of
speech. “I have never instructed the Malaysian Communications and
Multimedia Commission (MCMC) or TikTok to block videos or social media
postings. That was our principle in administering the country.
“Our
country has laws, and the government’s powers are limited by the law.
The government cannot act as it wishes in cracking down on the people’s
liberties unless they (the people) break the law.”
Marriwala : U only hide cooking oil.. Do a Jana Wibawa scam
Make your son in law run away... U do what probably no generation of leaders did... U are a bloody racist
JayWai : You declared state of emergency and shut down Parliament. How democratic is that?
During your time there was White Flag movement. People were in desperate need for food. It was the rakyat that helped those in need, not your government!!! So what are you talking, Mahiaddin?
Sealthedeal : What a totally corrupt hypocrit he is. Look at his record in power when he brought the country to its knees. Look at how his government notably Hamzah treated everyone especially migrant workers and foreigners in general.
KickOutPN_PAS : The true fact is that you are a absolute tyrant because you declare emergency during your rule just to prevent MPs from voting you out.
AmradS : As a Malay first Abah, you are not qualified to talk about democracy or autocracy. Boss Ku missing you so much and let's clear your court cases so that you can join him asap.
