Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
What’s wrong if Tiong eats pork, drinks alcohol? By Francis Paul Siah

Malaysiakini : COMMENT | Let me be clear about one
thing. I am defending Tiong King Sing here, not because he is a fellow
Sarawakian, but because I honestly think he is not in the wrong in this
latest controversy.
The allegations
against the tourism, arts, and culture minister in this recent case
were unfair and malicious, in my opinion at least. I believe that
supporting those in the right helps ensure that justice prevails and
defending them means standing up for moral and ethical principles.
Hence, Tiong should be defended.
I am also speaking up for the
minister because I agree with him that this latest issue borders on
racial hate – an unpleasant, uncomfortable subject that we should
actually avoid at all costs in our arguments/debates over our
fundamental differences.
Unfortunately, there are extremists in
our midst who have no qualms about raising the subject, highlighting our
differences, and exerting their superiority over others. What is most
sad is that they could be arousing racial hate at the behest of
political masters.
Indeed, the many debates over race and religion of late and the
rising temperature and tension among Malaysians involved is a matter of
regret and not something we can be proud of. At times, I also feel
that we must be earnest and daring enough to discuss our differences
with the hope of creating a better understanding among our diverse
citizenry.
I
believe that because Tiong has been the subject of much controversy of
late, particularly in his exchanges with PAS politicians, there seems to
be a vicious attempt to discredit and disparage him as a political
leader and minister.
In this latest case, the minister claimed
that the allegations, about him drinking alcohol and eating pork in his
office, were circulated on WhatsApp, purportedly by an individual
claiming to be a retired Health Ministry deputy director-general who
served under several non-Muslim ministers.
Sealthedeal : Good view point. All NM's should fight every single attempt to bully them into adhering to rules set for Muslims by Muslims whether that be dress codes or consumption.
The rules they impose on themselves are their business and it does not matter one single iota whether the freedoms NM's have offend them or their many blown up sensitivities for political reasons. Malaysia is for Malaysians. Islam is for Muslims exclusively.
Do not even try to cajoul NM's to confirm to Muslim rules. It will never ever be accepted and will be fought against.
HANG TUAH : No Sarawak , no madani government. Remember these.
drngsc : You are right Francis. There are many in our midst who wish to find fault often using race and religion.
They keep forgetting (conveniently ) that this is a multi-racial, multi-religious country.
When they cannot win democratic elections fair and square, they play the 3R card to get their supporters to rally to them.
If non-Muslim Ministers who do their job and bring prosperity to Malaysia, he answers to himself and his party, his religion, not somebody's else.
He is better then those who pretend and hide and drink alcohol and even consume P----, in the closet.
And also do not do their job and bring disgrace to the country.
Stop all these moral policing. We have a country to promote and an economy that needs much improvement. Let us spend our strengthen and energy doing these good things for Malaysia.
Amadeus : Ketuanan rearing it's head again???
Day by day, Little Napolens telling us Non Malays how to behave, eat and dress.
And it is getting tiresome.
Go, and moral police your own Muslim brethern.
Question to PM Anwar Ibrahim.
" Is this what Malaysia Madani about?? Non Muslims are told NOT to interfere with Miuslims / Islam, and yet it is alright for these people to do so, in NON Muslim generally??
ScarletPuma5866 : The best approach for minister is to CONFRONT these idiotic hypocritical religion fanatics through legal system, to shut their filthy mouth, to stop their malicious lies, to educate them on universal humanity values, to change their terrorism mindsets.
air10 : Mutual respect...majority need to respect minority rights...if muslims don't wish to be disturbed by the nons, so don't disturb the nons as well.. u mind your own business n the nons mind their own business.
