7th Rangers: While Muslim leaders always ask for non Muslims to respect their religion, have they ever wondered why are they imposing their values on non Muslims like banning liquor, gambling outlets and concerts, etc.
Fighting Seventh
The Fighting Rangers On War, Politics and Burning Issues
Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
While Muslim leaders always ask for non Muslims to respect their religion, have they ever wondered why are they imposing their values on non Muslims like banning liquor, gambling outlets and concerts, etc.
KitaBoleh : Muslim leaders should walk the talk by telling its followers to leave non Muslims alone and let them live their lives. Let them wear shorts if they like!!!
Malaysiakini : “However, if there are any concerns and to avoid any confusion, the non-Muslims can write to the National Council of Islamic Religious Affairs (MKI) for the issues to be resolved in a harmonious and civilized manner,” Anwar said in a statement on Facebook today.
Existential Turd : Whoever said that Muslims have never interfered in the affairs of the non Muslims must have been living under a tempurung. Commentators below have cited numerous times the Islamic authorities interfer with the affairs of the minorities. It is a blatant misrepresentation to say otherwise, no matter who said it.
Proof of pudding always in the eating : Please make an appointment with Indira Gandhi and inform her that Muslims have never encroached into mM lives. Sick joke!
OCT : There is no need to remind NM not to meddle into the 2R domain as NM knows it is very sensitive and at the losing end all the times. Numerous complaints had been made to PDRM against 2R infractions but nobody has been prosecuted though investigations had been done.
However, there were incidents that NM had been detained for his/her own safety by PDRM for a small infraction against 2R matter. 2R people with authorities had been imposing rules and regulations that made NM uncomfortable as 2R authorities always remind the NM to comply with the 2R people feelings since they are the majority.
NM becomes the silent Rakyat who cannot say, do and act like a robot under the command and wishes of 2R people. NM has always been reminded to give respects to the 2R people but do the 2R people do the sane for NM? Respect must be earned to reflect the sincerity, wholeheartedly and solidarity by both parties irrespective of race, religion, culture and creed.
It is a two way street and NOT a one way street. Right now, one side keeps on taking and never gives back. In the long run, Malaysia is running on empty. There seems to be no mutual respect for each other. 60+ years ago, all races can sit together to have a cup of coffee, chat without fear or favor, eat our favourite food on one table and respect each other race and religion without any fear of causing any uneasiness. This is mutual respect. Sad to say, the present Malaysia has divided us into silos and treat each other as enemy. What does this Malaysia is telling us?
DonGetMeWrong : " The ruler also urged followers of other religions to emulate muslims who do not interfere in the affairs of other faiths in Malaysia " unquote. Ha ha. The pot calling the kettle black.
Ate you very sure what you are talking about, tuanku? The interference into the affairs of other faiths has been well publicised e.g. banning of 4d, alcohol, wearing of shorts, no Christmas greetings or writing on cakes, no crosses the list goes on.
Doubtful : No NM in their right mind would even be bothered abt your religion, let alone meddling in it. They have better things to do unlike the ketuanan racists and religious bigots in Peninsula...
Cannot wear shorts la, not allowed to sell liquor la, cannot display Christmas greetings la, side with the Muslim father to forcefully convert NM children la... What is this? Who is meddling in whose affairs?
RZee : And vice versa? Can Muslims also be told not interfere in non Islamic affairs ? Like telling people what to wear and how to behave and what to eat and drink ? Can the PM make statements in the same press statement which protect ALL Malaysian rights and religions ? Everyone knows the PM wants the majority vote . But at what costs to the minorities ?
YouCannotBeSerious : So, can non Muslims wear shorts? If that is not interfering with non Muslim affairs, I don't know what is.
Vent : Pray since when has the National Council of Islamic Religious Affairs (MKI) resolved issues affecting non Muslims with regard to Islam "in a harmonious and civilized manner"? Body snatching being one very uncivilised action!
Anon2000 : And what happens when Muslims interfere in non-Muslim affairs? They are given permanent residency and protection against Interpol, like Zakir Naik?
Sealthedeal : It's a 2 way street. Hands off the constitution. State laws cannot override the constitution for example the blatant change of interreptation of unilateral conversion of minors which is still being fought in the courts. Syariah law is not going to override the constitution and will be fought against where it affects non Muslims rights.
Krabian : Do you back calls not to interfere with the Non Muslim Jackpot dreamers on Magnum, Toto, Daimacai and their occasional Oktoberfest cool pint?
Darwin Fernandez : What the Sultan said is very true, the non- muslim must not meddle with the Islamic law. Mr.PMX, you should also tell your muslim minister and the rest of the Parliament members in Parliament and also to Jakim not to meddle on non- muslim rights too, because if you are PM for all, than be fair to all because till this very day no none muslim have meddle or question the rights of a Muslim because the non-muslim knows thier boundary. So be a PM for all and not for only one.
apanama is back : “However, if there are any concerns and to avoid any confusion, the non-Muslims can write to the National Council of Islamic Religious Affairs (MKI) for the issues to be resolved in a harmonious and civilized manner,” Anwar said in a statement on Facebook today.
PM Anwar, how a non-Muslim can write to MKI if the person does not know what is going on in the meeting?
You mean I look at my crystal ball in advance to see what will be discussed in the MKI meeting in advance so that I know what to write? Excellent. Let me order one crystal ball.
Sorry my dear Prime Minister.
You are NO MORE Prime Minister to ALL Malaysians in this secular country. What Ngeh suggested is NOT interfering in Islamic affairs. he merely suggested to have a non-Muslim in the committee to ensure the right of the non-Muslim is protected, preserved and defended as in our Federal Constitution.
Ngeh NEVER mentioned about interfering in Islamic affairs.
He knows what he is talking about. Loke is the one putting that words into his mouth. Now everyone follows the same narrative.
What the minorities could do when the majority shut their mouth, hiding behind the so-called interfering.
ScarletPuma5866 : In Malaysia, one religion always like to interfere with NMs live, like the short skirt, short pant cases. How can you ask NM to emulate that religion practice of interfering others? In fact, the MM should emulate the NM religion practices of NON-INTERFERENCE to other religions! This is THE FACT.
Finance Twitter : From Snatching Body To Converting Kids – Why Radical Religious Authorities Still Harassing Single Mom Loh? Is the tearful episode involving single mother Loh Siew Hong, whose three children were converted to Islam without her knowledge, over?
It appears not, judging by the MAIPS’ (Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council) latest intervention to ensure the underage kids remain converted, despite recent court’s decision to award Loh the full custody of her children.
Last month (Feb 21), Hindu mother Loh was finally reunited with her children after the High Court granted her a “writ of habeas corpus” for an immediate release of her three kids from “unlawful detention”.
Nazirah Nanthakumari Abdullah, a senior preacher at the Hidayah Centre Foundation was named as one of respondents, who did not allow Loh to meet her own children. Read it all here.....
