No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Veterans got screwed, are being screwed and will continue being screwed
Saturday, November 04, 2023

Already at it, wanting to waste money and resources for the useless PLKN (National Service) for the benefit of political cronies. Instead of streamlining the Veterans pensions. We Veterans better get wise and call a spade a spade, calling out the political crooks and thieves.

Not forgetting the deaths of innocents due to the incompetence of the trainers and the Minister of Defense.

23 deaths since National Service started. The main reasons for the deaths are drowning and health issues like viral infection. Apart from that, sexual assault, rape and fights have also taken place.

An 18-year-old trainee, R. Vinoth, died after having fever for three days. According to the post-mortem, Vinoth had succumbed to leptospirosis, or commonly known as the “rat fever”. Not forgetting blatant racism.

January 2010 A Sikh youth woke up to find his hair had been cut by 50 to 60cm while he was asleep in his dormitory.

June 29, 2009 Abdul Malik Ishak, 18, was found dead on his bed at Kem Guar Chenderai, Padang Besar, Perlis. He had no medical condition as shown on his health declaration form.

June 27, 2009 A brawl involving 100 trainees broke out in the canteen of Lake Chini Resort Camp, Pahang. The fight started when trainees were instructed to arrange the table and some inadvertently shoved each other. Seventeen trainees were arrested and held at the Pekan district police lock-up for two days before being released after a meeting with their parents.

June 23, 2009 An 18-year-old trainee claimed she was sexually assaulted by more than 20 unidentified men at Lake Chini Resort Camp, Lake Chini, Pahang, while making a call from a phone booth on camp grounds at night. She declined to return to camp after the incident.

May 29, 2008 Sixty-seven trainees at the Barracuda, Setiu Agro, Terengganu camp reportedly suffered stomachache believed to be caused by food poisoning.

Sept 3, 2007 Mohd Rafi Ameer, 18, died after having fever and his leg had been swollen for a week.

March 1, 2007 P. Prema from Kajang, Selangor, was found unconscious in a toilet at Jeram Linang and she was pronounced dead upon admission to the Tengku Anis Hospital.

Jan 18, 2007 Ili Ameera Azlan, 17, who was attached to the Ayer Keroh camp in Malacca, died after suffering breathing difficulties.

June 11, 2005 S. Theresa Pauline, 17, died due of a viral infection. She was attached to the Karisma Camp, Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan.

May 14, 2005 Nurul Ashikin Karino, 17, died at the Han Sui, Tawau, Sabah camp after allegedly being injured during training.

April 23, 2004 Awang Mohd Fazil Awang Borhan, 17, died when he was swimming with 36 other trainees at Sungai Cina, Matang, Kuching, Sarawak.

Feb 28, 2004 A female trainee, 17, was raped by in a car in the Rhu Tapai agro-industrial estate near Setiu. Corporal Zuki Mohd, 30, was jailed 12 years and ordered to be caned three times for the offence.

Shit always happens wheneyou have mediocre instructors who don't have an inkling about training. They are just NOT cut out to be instructors. Most of them are just interested in the allowances they are going to get. It is always the money. "Tak akan takde apa-apa?"
