No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Teo: Those who dislike Coldplay don't 'kacau' others from going By Hariz Mohd, Isabelle Leong & Haspaizi Zain
Wednesday, November 22, 2023

Malaysiakini : PARLIAMENT | Deputy Communications and Digital Minister Teo Nie Ching has rejected opposition's call for the government to cancel the Coldplay concert, citing freedom of choice.

She said there are various ways for Malaysians to show their solidarity with the plight of Palestinians and they should not block those who like the British rock band from enjoying its concert tonight.

Taking a swipe at Perikatan Nasional MPs who pushed for cancellation of the event, Teo (above) pointed out that they (rock band members), too, had practised freedom of choice in showing support for Palestine.

"I believe that there are many ways for us to show our support and be in solidarity with Palestine.   "Like my fellow MPs who chose to boycott McDonald's and Starbucks (in support of Palestinians), but stopped short of boycotting Mercedes, iPhone, and Facebook.

"So, for those who have purchased Coldplay tickets and are going to its concert tonight, I wish them to enjoy the show. "But for those who dislike Coldplay, those who cannot get tickets, do not 'kacau' (stop) others from going," she said during the winding-up speech for Budget 2024 at committee stage for the Communications and Digital Ministry.

Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man

The deputy minister was responding to Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man (PN-Kubang Kerian), who called on the government to ban the group that is known to be supportive of immoral activities such as LGBT.

Not in jail : Please don't stop at just Coldplay if you want to show solidarity to Palestinians. Sell your house, your car, and donate all your salary for the cause. The Palestinians needs it more than us. And also, puasa lebih sikit. Not just for 1 month, but until the Israel-Palestinian issue is finally resolved. Once that is over, don't stop again! Continue that effort because of world hunger, LGBT and other forms of discrimination in all parts of the world.

Newday : Tuan Ibrahim- morals the sole domain of government? No. That is called brainwashing. For all your religious credentials and the non stop promotion of your version of Islam, your headquarters in Kelantan fails miserably in the morals department and you know it. Education enabling us to determine of our own free will what is good, bad or ugly is the way. Your way is a way of a mindless populace that has no moral judgment, forever dependent on your words to exist.

GrizzledWarrior : So Tuan Ibrahim is advocating the "Big Brother knows best" approach to governance? This is the same Big Brother that was part of the "Kerajaan Pintu Belakang" and is now continuously eyeing the opportunity to "tebuk atap" to displace a democratically elected government? The rakyat decides, not you, Tuan Ibrahim. We are not living in the Middle Ages.

Gerard Lourdesamy : The government is in power because of the rakyat. The government is there to serve the rakyat. Use your puny brain Tuan Mat before opening your mouth. The majority of the rakyat want Coldplay to perform here. If you are unhappy please go to Gaza and take a rest there.
