Rudyard Kipling"
āWhen you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā
General Douglas MacArthur"
āWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā
āIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā āOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
āThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā
āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā āThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
āNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
āIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Recent events in Tambun, Perak have briefly shined a spotlight (again)
on the work PSM does for disenfranchised Malaysians all over the
country.
I never get cynical or depressed when writing about PSM
because, in a country where the progressive forces have capitulated to
the racial and religious agendas of the mainstream political
establishment, PSM continues its lonely struggle.
RimauTongkatAli : Mr Madani is showing his true colors - he is the ultra Malay and Muslim, even more extreme than PAS/PN. He has completely ignore the grass root supporters with his policies and actions. Heās the Tambun MP not Hamas MP, elected by Tambun voters to serve them.
Mr Madani is only interested in travelling to Middle East and shoring up support for Hamas. He could care less about the NM/liberal Malays. I will never ever vote for PH again - itās PSM or MUDA. DAP has become the lapdog to Mr Madani and they will suffer the same fate as MCA and Gerakan.
Proarte : All the Pakatan Harapan supporters should now realise that āReformasiā was a mere ruse to gain political power or as a cover for personal wrongs. Politics on both sides of the divide is about personal gain and power. The Rakyatās aspiration for change and for good governance is merely a vehicle which these politicians to gain power.
Once they achieve power, the Rakyat and their aspirations will be betrayed.
The farmers of Tambun are not rich but they have eked out an honest living through hard work and provided us with home grown vegetables for our daily sustenance for over 60 years. They were promised that their farm lands would be secure if Pakatan Harapan came to power and even more shockingly the MP for Tambun is none other than PMX Anwar Ibrahim, the erstwhile āReformasiā icon.
āReformasiā has been abandoned for the deliberately nebulous and confusing āMadaniā. Actually, this turn out to be more honest as expectations for reforms will no longer be so focused.
How is Anwar Ibrahim going to have any influence over the war in Gaza by his emotionally charged rallies and jet setting in solidarity with Hamas and the Palestinian people who are fighting a Jihad against āZionistā Israel, if he cannot even solve a simple issue involving non-Muslim Chinese farmers who are providing us with food security?
Sadly, in his quest for the elusive Malay Muslim vote who have abandoned him in preference for PAS and Bersatu, Anwar has adopted a right wing Malay/Muslim agenda after the elections, and as such, the plight of the Chinese farmers is going to be collateral sacrifice in line with this agenda.
To put it simplistically, the Chinese non-Muslims and āMarxistā PSM, cannot be seen to be winning over the Malay/Muslim local government and their business associates who have other money making plans for the land.
Fake Liberals : "How is Anwar Ibrahim going to have any influence over the war in Gaza by his emotionally charged rallies and jet setting in solidarity with Hamas and the Palestinian people who are fighting a Jihad against āZionistā Israel, if he cannot even solve a simple issue involving non-Muslim Chinese farmers who are providing us with food security"
Yes, the usual can't take of your own backyard but meddling into useless affairs syndrome
