Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Malaysiakini : Rosmah Mansor made large deposits despite not having any job, the
prosecution contended during today's first day of trial in her RM7
million money laundering and tax evasion case.
During open-court
proceedings before the Kuala Lumpur High Court this morning and in
reading out the prosecution's opening statement, deputy public
prosecutor Ahmad Akram Gharib said that this is part of the inference
for the prosecution's contention that the source of the money was from
unlawful activities.
"The accused is the wife of Najib Abdul
Razak, a former prime minister. She was not gainfully employed at all
times material to the charges before the court. She, therefore, had no
independent source of any lawful income. "Yet, during the relevant
period, she caused to be deposited large sums of money into her current
account no. 10-002000005-8 (“account 0058”) at Affin Bank Berhad.
“The sums deposited are wholly disproportionate to the accused’s means," the DPP told Judge K Muniandy. Akram
contended that Rosmah used the services of Roslan Sohari - who was the
residential house manager of Seri Perdana Complex in Putrajaya - to make
these deposits on her behalf.
‘Sum not disclosed to IRB’
The prosecutor said the deposits form the subject matter of the 12 money laundering charges.
Me : Poor Altantuya still NOT at peace.
apanama is back : Rosmah "menabung" (save) since she was in her mother's womb. Thus no need for her to gainfully employed at all. I hope no one misunderstand her.
Knucklehead : Let me tell you something:
Besides saving from young, Rosmah was trading in expensive designer handbags and even more expensive tiaras.
She made huge profits!
Unlike her good for nothing husband who is now sitting in jail!
He only earned a monthly salary.
Silly fella!
OCT : Nobody wanted to cross swords with Rosmah when she was known as FLOM unless he/she prepared for disturbances in his/her life. She was known to be a fierce and uncompromising lady. She never dreamt that one day the sky would fall on her.
She didn't have to tell anybody about the excess cash going into her account not need to inform income tax about is. In short, she was untouchable. Every civil servant must listen to her advise even NR had to too. She will give the same story like NR that she was fully aware about her account.
She just signed cheques without any worries as somewhat, somehow and somewhere somebody knew what to do. Rosmah didn't expect the unexpected bad luck that would be fell upon her one fine day
Frans Rozario : Did she buy a diamond ring with that money?
Did she shop in New York after closing hours in a complex that was opened specially for her, and did she shop so much they had to send the goods on another aircraft?
Did she also buy fake Berkin Bags in Korea/
All with the money she saved from school days and when she was working, poor Rosmah.
