Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Malaysiakini : DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang today was forced to issue a statement
stressing that he was born in Malaysia, not China, after a video on the
issue has gone viral on social media.
In fact, he said, the first time he stepped foot in China was when he was around 50 years old. “The so-called episode where I mengamuk’
(blew my top) when I was asked by airport reporters where I was born
was completely fictitious and never happened,” he said in a statement
today.
This was the fake image posted in response when I posted the above image of Tun Abdul Razak.
“The demonisation of me as not a local born but came from
China when I was 16 years old and settled in Batu Pahat in the 50s, was a
complete lie.” He said he was born in 1941 in Batu Pahat, Johor, and completed 11 years of primary and secondary schooling in the same town.
His statement comes after a video on the issue, first uploaded four years ago on YouTube, went viral on TikTok. In this video, a presenter claimed Lim had blown his top when asked by reporters where he was born.

The
presenter said this when presenting the “top five news of the week”,
after which he discussed the alleged news item with a panel of three
other presenters. The video by the YouTube channel Nothing To Hide Media, from 2018, does not state where this alleged news was published.
The
same clip has been uploaded on TikTok by user Tok Pala 4s on June 8,
2023, and has received more than 600,000 views and more than 2,500
shares. The clip on TikTok also showed a photograph of Lim receiving his “Tan Sri” award from the Agong.
The
same TikTok user had campaigned during the recent Kedah state election
and was appointed as independent Kuah candidate Mazlan Ahmad’s
representative. In one video, he called on PAS supporters to vote for
Mazlan. During campaigning, Mazlan, the former deputy chief for
PAS' Langkawi division, was sacked from the party for contesting against
Bersatu, the Islamist party’s partner in Perikatan Nasional.
Shadowplay : LKS is one of the most, if not the most demonized Malaysian politician, yet he is still standing tall till today. It's not an understatement to say LKS is fit to be the 'Stateman' of our country. Yet, those people (it's obvious we know who) keep on demonize him even though he is retired from politics.
Meanwhile,
the same clip uploaded by Tok Pala 4s has also been shared on other
social media users on TikTok and other social media platforms.
