Malaysiakini : Goh Gaik Meng, the Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate for the Sekinchan state seat in Selangor, has claimed that the Chinese cannot stop the “Malay tsunami” sweeping through the country.
As a result of this, he claimed the Chinese community can only join in. Goh, an associate member of Bersatu, is contesting against incumbent state assemblyperson Ng Suee Lim from DAP. When
met in Sekinchan yesterday, Goh said his decision to contest in the
state polls is to represent the Chinese community within the PN
coalition.
Fair Play : Hmm.
Malay tsunami, I am not sure it would ever happen.
But corruption tsunami, we cannot avoid.
Heck, we have been living with it for years. And they are still around.
And sorry, you are not allowed to join.
Proarte : Unlikely for the winning coalition on either side of the divide to have its Chinese representatives speaking up on behalf of their community. Like the DAP, Goh, an associate member of Bersatu will suddenly develop chronic laryngitis and lose his voice if PN comes to power.
For starters, Goh should "speak up" and ask Bersatu why he is only allowed to be an "associate" member as a Chinese. Only Bumiputra and Malays are allowed to me full members. Why does Goh accept "second class status"? If he joined the DAP, he would at least be accepted as a full member.
The good news is, the DAP will find its voice again once it has been kicked out of power.

In a Constitutional democracy the elected government must look after the interests of all communities.
In KELANTAN there is no chinese state assemblyman.
According to your argument that you need a chinese to look after chinese interests,then who is looking into chinese interests in Kelantan.The Kelantan Government has been saying that the PAS state government looks after the interests of all communities and helps all of them.
Goh it is shameful.You as chinese cannot become a member of Pas or Bersatu with voting rights.You can only be an associate member and look for crumbs and shoe polishing. What malay Tsunami Goh ?
Even a very substantial number of malays do not want an islamic state and Hudud.
Tariq Ismail a leading world islamic thinker has said in malaysia that an islamic state is not even good for muslims.
That in modern times an islamic state is not feasible and every Hudud country is a failed state.
Under the present constitution an islamic state is not possible as the Constitution is the supreme law of the country and Hudud etc is subject to it.
