Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Malaysiakini - IGP: Cops to seek Interpol's assistance to locate comedian. The Royal Malaysia Police will seek Interpol's assistance to locate comedian Jocelyn Chia.
According to Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, the application for assistance will be made tomorrow. "The police have completed transcribing the suspect's speech in the video clip.
"On
June 7, the police made an application for profiling from the Malaysia
Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)," Acryl Sani told
reporters after paying a visit to the Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Besar
Tuanku Aishah Rohani in Kuala Lumpur today, reported Harian Metro.
According to the top cop, investigations into Chia’s (above)
matter are being carried out under Section 504/505(c) of the Penal
Code, as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.
The former pertains to intentional insult/provocation and incitement,
while the latter concerns improper use of network facilities or network
services.
Chia
recently came under fire after mocking Malaysia and the MH370 tragedy
in her stand-up routine titled “Singapore vs Malaysia” held in New York,
United States. Clips of the show have gone viral online.
Following
a backlash, Singapore’s High Commissioner to Malaysia Vanu Gopala Menon
slammed Chia's “gratuitously offensive comments", saying her statement
does not in any way reflect Singapore’s view.
PinkSwan7434 : What are you going to do after you found her. Total waste of time and resources. She is nothing compare to Hadi's hate speech. Why don't you take action on Hadi?
KitP : She is not Malaysian citizen, and no crime was committed in USA, regardless the skit was distasteful. This is a waste of police focus and resources, which could be far better deployed for other purposes.
Doc : Ok! Once Interpol locates Jocelyn Chia what are they suppose to do with her? Arrest her? For what ? Making jokes! Or Once interpol informs PDRM of her location will our elite forces be sent in to kidnap her and bring her back to Malaysia for interrogation. On another note - I wonder when Extraction 2 will be released on nextflix
泰哥 : IGP should put more effort in Hadi's racist rhetoric speech case. This Chia is a US citizen now and her jokes made in US. I wonder how PDRM can request Interpol assistance to locate her and bring her to Malaysia to face music?
PDRM can even bring Jho Loh home? At least Jho Loh crimes took place in Malaysia. I see this a waste of effort and time. Should take more effort to eradicate racism spread by politicians and people in social media.
Vijay47 : Move over, Harith Iskandar of Malaysia and Kumar from Singapore, there’s a new comedian is town and he will beat you guys flat with his hands tied behind his back. And believe me, Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani is a tough act to follow.
In making a report with Interpol to locate Jocelyn Chia (She’s in New York!), he is spreading his humour to the whole world. Yeah, sure, why should Malaysians, Singaporeans, and New Yorkers be the only ones laughing. Or not laughing. I am sure Jho Low and that child-kidnapper will be rolling around in much merriment.
Speaking of Jocelyn Chia on whom the IGP has set the police forces of the world, I am curious as to what crime she committed. Sure, she is guilty of being crude, unfunny, and worse of all, being insensitive on a subject most people find extremely painful. But illegal?
Yes, I did regard her act as far from amusing, but how did Kuala Lumpur’s finest find her show to be a crime?
Maybe that Chia used network facilities to spread insult, provocation, incitement, and the Covid-virus? She resides in America, her performance was in New York and thus it was likely it was from there that Scotty beamed it up to the whole world.
Is Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani now suggesting that any material insulting, offensive, or uncomplimentary to Malaysia made even outside our shores constitutes an international crime?
Even if that were so, Mr. IGP, most Malaysians would agree that your time could be better employed in the arrest and prosecution of local political leaders who indulge in such inciteful statements within Tanah Air itself almost on a daily basis.
Laughter being the best medicine, we eagerly await your next comment, sir.
