Malaysiakini : Perikatan Nasional Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has likened Umno and BN to an "old rag" used by the DAP to wipe their feet.
Fadhli
said this was based on DAP former publicity secretary Tony Pua's
remarks at last night's DAP Petaling Jaya fundraising dinner where he
labelled BN and Umno as "corrupt". "There are certain things that we agree with the DAP...," said Fadhli (above) in his speech at Selangor PN's Convention held at the Ideal Convention Centre, Shah Alam today.
"They
had publicly said that Umno-BN is corrupt. I want to ask our friends in
Umno, do they not feel ashamed to vote for DAP in Selangor? "In DAP's view, Umno is like an old wet rag used to wipe their feet.
Is my language harsh? I don't want to create enemies with Umno," said
the PAS Youth chief.
"What does it (wet rag) mean? That means you (Umno) are just waiting to be thrown into the drain," he said. Last
night, Pua urged Pakatan Harapan supporters to prove to doubters that
“a multiracial party that is clean and not corrupt” could do better than
“corrupt coalitions like BN, Umno and Bersatu”.
DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has since distanced
the party from Pua's remarks, saying the latter spoke in an individual
capacity and his comments did not represent the party leadership.
Gerard Lourdesamy : I thought PN wants to use the old rag like a towel. Otherwise they cannot take power in Putrajaya. So for the 27 months that PAS and Bersatu were in bed with UMNO, they smelt like a rose? The UMNO and DAP voters know who to vote for in the coming state elections. Not for traitors, racists and bigots who put their own self-interests first. PN cannot work with UMNO but still needs them to get power. After that they will spit out UMNO. I hope the UMNO voters see the PN agenda.
NoobMaster69 : It's proven that BN and PH both are capable of handling the economy. Take a look at Selangor Johor and Penang and then we will take a look at Kelantan.
Things are easier said than done. So what is PN plan for the country economy if they where to take over the government like the claim every single day. They want to fix Selangor water where else they cannot even fix Kelantan water. Remember they have almost all the seats in Kelantan.
