Malaysiakini : Former Umno leader Annuar Musa has expressed interest in joining PAS, said the Islamist party’s secretary-general.

Hassan shared that the former Ketereh MP is among some 20 notable
former Umno figures planning to join PAS or Perikatan Nasional. "He
(Annuar) informed us recently that he wished to join PAS. We received a
lot of requests from former Umno leaders to join Perikatan Nasional,"
Takiyuddin told reporters in Kota Bharu today, according to Berita Harian.
He said it did not matter which PN component party the hopefuls want to enter. "They can join any party in PN - regardless of PAS or Bersatu. We
have no restrictions when considering their entry. We have made offers
to former Umno leaders, including Khairy Jamaluddin," Takiyuddin added.
Annuar (above,secondleft) was expelled from Umno last December for causing the party to suffer disrepute during the last parliamentary election. Once
seen as an opponent to Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Annuar's
faction was inclined towards forging better ties with PAS and Bersatu.
