Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Altantuya murder suit: Family appeals for higher compensation By Hidir Reduan Abdul Rashid

No Justice For Altantuya?????
Malaysiakini : The family of murdered Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu is
appealing for a higher compensation than the RM5 million awarded by the
High Court in Shah Alam. The family’s counsel, Sangeet Kaur Deo, confirmed with Malaysiakini that the family members had filed the appeal to the Court of Appeal back in January.
She
added that the appeal - linked to the civil action over Altantuya's
gruesome 2006 murder - is set for case management before the appellate
court registry today. On Dec 16 last year, the High Court ordered the federal government and three others to pay RM5 million to the family of Altantuya.
The other three defendants are political analyst Razak Baginda as
well as former Special Actions Unit commandos Azilah Hadri and Sirul
Azhar Umar.

However, the government and Razak have since appealed to the Court of Appeal to quash the verdict. Civil judge Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera’s verdict in favour of the family came 15 years after the civil action was filed in 2007.
The three plaintiffs - Shariibuu Setev (above)
and Altantseseg Sanjaa, who are the deceased’s father and mother, as
well as Altantuya’s brother Mungunshagai Bayarjargal - were suing for
RM100 million.
Altantuya was murdered in October 2006 and her remains were blown up
with military-grade explosives. A separate criminal court convicted
Azilah and Sirul of the murder and sentenced them to death in April
2009.
However, the criminal court acquitted Razak of abetting the murder without his defence being called in October 2008. Azilah is currently in jail on death row in a Malaysian prison. Sirul, however, fled to Australia prior to the Malaysian apex court upholding the duo's conviction and death sentence in 2015.
The
Federal Court reversed an earlier Court of Appeal decision that quashed
the guilty verdict of the two men. Sirul flew to Australia after the
Court of Appeal ruling while the prosecution was appealing to the apex
court. Sirul is currently under the custody of the Australian
authorities, who have a policy of not deporting anybody facing the death
penalty in the country of origin.
For the civil action, the
government was represented by the Attorney-General’s Chambers while
Razak was represented by counsel Manjeet Singh Dhillon. Azilah and Sirul
were not represented.
Travis Bickle : The money is irrelevant as far as justice is concerned. Even Ringgit 10 million is a pittance for a young daughter's life. Until today, the true culprits walk unpunished. Can any of these judges really look in the mirror and say justice was served?
Mano : "Sirul is currently under the custody of the Australian authorities, who have a policy of not deporting anybody facing the death penalty in the country of origin." Sekarang no death penalty. Bring Sirul and let him spill the beans. But please ensure he is protected at all times, lest he gets cemented inside a drum even before or while he is brought in.
