Apologise for 'malicious slander' or get sued - Guan Eng to Muhyiddin

Malaysiakini : Lim Guan Eng has given Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin until
Wednesday (March 15) to apologise for saying the Albukhary Foundation’s
tax exemption was cancelled by the former during his time as the finance
minister.
If Muhyiddin (above, right) fails to apologise
and withdraw his claims by the deadline, Lim said he will file a
defamation suit against the former prime minister. “Muhyiddin should apologise and retract his malicious accusations against me.
“Seeing
as he is busy with the charges against him by the MACC, including
facing another charge from the MACC on Monday, I will give him until
Wednesday to state the truth and clear my name. “If he fails to apologise and retract his malicious slander against
me, I will instruct my lawyer to initiate legal proceedings for a
defamation suit immediately,” Lim said in a statement today.
Lim (above, left) reportedly denied
yesterday that he cancelled the tax exemption given to the Albukhary
Foundation when he was the finance minister under the previous Pakatan
Harapan administration. Muhyiddin was summoned to the MACC
yesterday to have his statement recorded, and among the issues raised by
the anti-graft agency was the appeal against the cancellation of the
tax exemption granted to the Albukhary Foundation.

Muhyiddin
told reporters after the questioning that he would be charged with
abuse of power for re-granting the tax exemption given to the foundation
by the former BN government.
IndigoToucan1627 : Sue Muhyiddin LGE!!! You have my full support! He was trying to appear like a hero - restoring tax exemption to a Malay foundation taken away by a Chinese Finance Minister. Trying to convert his being charged into something racial.
Muhyiddin back to using DAP and LGE as scapegoat again. Same logic as blaming AI for the action that MACC and the AGC are taking against him. AI is in charge of MACC and AGC so AI is responsible for what MACC and AGC are doing to him. Muhyiddin is adding to his own legal troubles unnecessarily.

AnginLintang : Previous PH government may have cancelled this tax exemption before 2020 but moodin was implying that a Chinese DAP minister has cancelled this tax exemption for a Malay Muslim owned corporation.
Most of us may not notice this but those racist bunch, ppbm and pas supporters and members will quickly understand his statement as Cina pijak Melayu! They don't care if the tax exemption is justified or not.
Why should Malaysia not tax this huge corporation while the poors need to be taxed. When race and religion is thrown into the equation, logic no longer applies. din, hadi and their geng know best..
AnotherKomentar : Mahhiadin is badly advised to claim that LGE as then Finance Minister had “cancelled” tax exemption of Al Bukhary Foundation.
In all probability, IRB must have discovered that Al Bukhary Foundation did not have the tax exemption status when PH came into power and threw the books at them, so confirming that LGE could not have “cancelled” the non- existent tax exemption. Either scenario, Mahhiadin had maliciously defamed LGE.
