Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Respect 'Malay special right in civil service', says PAS leader
Monday, February 13, 2023
Wannabe Menteri Besar of Perak
Malaysiakini : Perak PAS chairperson Razman Zakaria has urged all quarters to respect the rights of Muslims and sensitivities of the Malays.
Citing
the Federal Constitution, Malaysian laws and the “social contract”, he
claimed this included the “special right of the Malays in the civil
service” without providing details.
The ethnic composition of the
public service has become a controversial subject after DAP leader P
Ramasamy urged Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to dismantle the “Malay
dominance” of the civil sector.
However, Congress of Unions of
Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) president Adnan Mat
denied the existence of race-based quotas for hiring and promotions in
the civil service.
VioletCondor6908 : Razman , your reputation has taken a hit, after your open apology in High court to Anwar Ibrahim, for uttering some undignified words, directed against him.
Yes, there are special privileges to one community, in our Constitution and you are a political party leader ie of PAS in Perak, but can't you appreciate or have any regard to the multi- racial, multi- religious population of the country. Are you stating that the non malays, as citizens have no rights to be in the Civil Service ?
These public officers have to deal with all races while performing their duties.
This is the type of reasoning , Malaysia can never become another Singapore or for that matter like Indonesia, whose emblem or motto is " Unity in Diversity"
I WONDER? : Sri Lanka and Malaysia are the two most unique countries in the world that gave special rights and quota system to their majority race over the minority race. Whether all the other countries in the world give special rights and quota to only the minority race to assist them to be at par with the majority.
Today, Sri Lanka has gone bankrupt officially due to the special rights and quota given to the majority race, the Sinhalese been abused and bred rampant of corruptions. It looks like Malaysia is walking the steps of Sri Lanka towards bankruptcy and getting doomed too if no remedial action is taken to correct the situation immediately.
Dino : Yes the Constitution is clear in this but not to the extent of near total dominance of Malays in the civil service. The current composition is also far from the real demography of Malaysia.
