No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Minister: Education curriculum on par with Singapore, Japan By Raveena Nagotra
Friday, February 17, 2023

Our embarrassing Education Minister, Sheikh Madani's protegee

Malaysiakini : PARLIAMENT
| Malaysia’s curriculum is comparable to its neighbouring countries such as Singapore and Japan, said Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.

This was based on a comparative study the ministry conducted which also involved comparing Malaysia’s curriculum to that of Australia, the United Kingdom and Finland, she explained. “The findings showed that the school curriculum in Malaysia is comparable to the curriculum of the other countries,” she said in a written parliamentary reply yesterday.

Increasingly concerned

On Tuesday, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (Harapan-Muar) claimed that parents were becoming increasingly concerned about the standard of the national syllabus in comparison to private education.

He told the Dewan Rakyat that both Singapore and Japan outranked Malaysia on the global Programme for International Student Assessment (Pisa) used to evaluate educational systems by measuring 15-year-old students’ scholastic performance in mathematics, science, and reading.

Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman

He added that up to 20 percent of the national expenditure was typically allocated to the education sector, a higher figure when compared to Singapore and Japan. Syed Saddiq said the shifting trend was a sign that the education sector was in crisis and required urgent reforms.

He also pointed out that teachers at national schools faced a heavy burden with clerical duties, administrative tasks, and juggling two or three roles - which was putting aside their main duties, that is to teach.

Fadhlina (above) was responding to a question by Aminolhuda Hassan (Pakatan Harapan-Sri Gading) who had asked about the ministry’s action regarding the discrepancy of Level 1 curriculum with the ages of Standard One to Standard Three pupils.

VioletGoose0930 : The MOE is ill-informed, ill-advised and simply ill to make such a preposterous claim. Now there is no need to do anything because we're world-class already. Does MOE know that NUS and NTU are ranked among the top 5 universities in the world in Engineering.

I don't even want to begin to compare the other faculties! I wager Minister is both naive, ignorant and uninformed. Please start somewhere instead of hiding 'seperti katak dibawah tempurung '.

Doc : Malaysia’s curriculum is comparable to its neighbouring countries such as Singapore and Japan, said Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek. Holy cow! What hallucinogen is Fadhlina Sidek taking to think that Malaysia's education system is on par with that of Singapore and Japan.

For the last 10 to 15 years, the Malaysian education standard was lower and lower with only one primary aim; to dumb down the mentality of the future generation of Malaysians to be dependent and subservient to the UMNO regime.

Not only did this re-engineering of the education system work in dumbing down the Malaysian people, it worked beyond expectation and today we see the rise of PAS. PAS always attracts people with low IQ with their confusing and lalang ideology, religious mumbo jumbo and racism.

With PAS support increasing exponentially hence the inference is that there are a lot of low IQ Malaysians running around. You don't see Singaporeans and Japanese subscribing to UMNO or PAS type of rhetoric in their countries.

BOSSKU Kaw Kaw : Madam Minister, When you are minted as Education Minister by PM, I tell myself to give you a chance to show colour! Although in my prejudice mind (with your religious Kulication), you are NOT the cut for this paramount important ministry.

I am a Singapore PR working in Singapore for the past 23 years. Particularly, I had been involved(as Project Manager/Director) in construction and completion of Yale-NUS university, Anglo Chinese Junior College, CHIJ Primary and Secondary School and part of ID works for ITE.

I found that your statement that Education Curriculum is on PAR with Singapore,,, and etc...is appalling and unable to figure out your mind!!! Please pull your sock up!!!

Their standard is FAR FAR above my beloved country. Hope that you don't join the SSS Club. If you don't understand what is SSS. I will now make it simple for you. SSS = Syiok Syiok Sendiri.

Vijay47 : The similarity with the Singapore curriculum notwithstanding, it would be mischievous and indeed unpatriotic for anyone to suggest that Malaysian education standards are in any way inferior to the high levels that the Little Dot claims to have.

Malaysia’s exceptional position is evident from the fact the Malays, who form the majority in national schools, display exceptional merit and competence that the non-Malays cannot hope to match, hence the Malay 94.83% presence in the civil service.

As a spiritual country, Malaysia must obviously focus beyond the 3Rs, that is, Reading, Writing, and ‘Rithmatic in addition to the traditional 3Rs of Race, Religion, and Ruler; here “ruler” is not a plastic instrument that measures in inches or centimetres.

Accordingly, much emphasis is placed on religious lessons and to ensure uniformity, all students are expected to attend, especially those who wish to join the national football team. To ensure success in this sacred objective, religious scholars are even appointed from abroad, in particular, Mumbai, India.

After all, Man does not live on bread or nasi lemak alone. Much seems to be made of Singapore and Japan standing at position 2 and 4 respectively, clearly heads and shoulders over Malaysia in the PISA rankings where our country does not even feature in the Top 40 or 50.

Rankings and percentages are, like one’s age, mere numbers that do not reflect the true values which a nation holds close to its bosom. For all their probable gloating and smirking, Singapore and Japan cannot even jointly touch the quality in education that Malaysia proudly boasts of – 500 PhDs every year without fail.

BrownCheetah9736 : And we all mocked at Mazlee Malik and Radzi Jadin previously. This Minister has hit new heights in stupidity. She will be ridiculed and be the joke of the Malaysian news from this point on

Tembikai : Now all ministers, deputy ministers, politicians and top civil servants, please send your children and grandchildren to national schools. No need to send them to international schools.

If you do this, then I believe that the quality of our national schools is on par with Singapore. Take the lead please to give confidence to the rakyat to send their children to national schools.

Kneazle : Yes yes yes. Our standard is on par with Singapore. But when I went to collect my kid's school leaving certificate, the staff and teachers were avoiding me when I spoke in English. Only when I spoke in Malay that they started to attend me. We should be amazed even a Std. 4 Singaporean pupil spoke better English than most of our local uni graduate. Another shiok sendiri statement.

Nuyiko : Because these teachers are unemployable graduates became teachers after they can’t find job by merits.
