No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

DAP rep urges Sheikh Madani to relax dress code at govt premises
Wednesday, February 08, 2023

Malaysiakini : Mengkibol assemblyperson Chew Chong Sin has appealed to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to relax the visitors’ dress code at government premises.

He said exceptions should be made for important or urgent business in places such as police stations and hospitals.

“Exceptions should also be made if it involves difficulties such as long distance from home, traffic congestion, or shortage of time. Consideration and discretion should be exercised with courtesy and empathy, especially by the officer on duty,” the DAP representative added.

Chew (above) said this in an open letter addressed to Anwar yesterday.

The letter came after an incident at the Kajang district police headquarters in Selangor on Jan 30, where a woman went to lodge a police report about a traffic accident but was turned away because she was wearing shorts.

She was allowed to enter about 15 minutes later, after changing into long pants. Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, however, described the incident as a “misunderstanding”.

Chew contended that the action of the police was in violation of Section 107(4) of the Criminal Procedure Code, which stipulates that police officers are duty-bound to receive information regarding any offence committed.

Sealthedeal : It's about one race imposing their code on others. It's totally ridiculous and unfair. Non Muslims are fed up with Malay sensitivities impacting their lives. This is a secular country. Everyone should protest when little napoleon's prevent them from gaining entrance.

OMG! : I wish the PM would reflect back to the time 24 years ago when he was arrested by PDRM, following Reformasi demonstrations. That evening at Bukit Aman, then IGP Rahim Noor i think, was found later, to have gone to Anwars cell, had two men hold him up on either side, and then punched him hard, until he collaosed.

Exactly how big bullies and cowards operate. That was how Anwar got his black eye, at the hands of the police IGP. Today, as PM, has DSAI forgotten all that? Doesn't he owe the public the duty to implement the IPCMC in original form, not a watered down version?

When a woman wearing Bermuda shorts covering her knees is denied entry by one police station, sent running to another station, it cries out for a caring PM to take action! When the current PM takes no action, it just enforces the top leadership of the Police to believe they can do no wrong. That beating up this PM 24 years ago, was all in a day's work.

What mysterious influence do the Police have over the top so-called leaders? Are they in cahoots somehow? It reinforces the growing impression that DSAI is just the creature of the forces that keep him in power. Soon, he too will go, leaving no lasting legacy. What a shame.

MS : If Anwar Ibrahim has to be urged via an open letter to do what is sensible, it says where the country is heading under his Madani whatever.

What was also surprising was the sight of DAP's Hannah Yeoh standing by meekly and silently as the not-so-bright IGP justified the idiocy of the Kajang police to reporters milling around.

Headhunter : The police are only following PAS advise, that women are packages which must be covered up fully. This is what the bigots are slamming down our throat with their skewered and camel herder mentality.
