Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Quran-burning in Sweden: International community urged to combat Islamophobia
Tuesday, January 24, 2023
Rasmus Paludan
Malaysiakini : Malaysia denounces the provocative act of Swedish-Danish far-right
politician Rasmus Paludan in burning a copy of the holy Quran in
Stockholm, Sweden. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the Islamophobic act of the politician was a grave provocation to Muslims all over the world.
ScallopEatMcD : Please lah you are a PM now, no need simply shoot. When your own citizens were provoked and bullied by a Muslim in Penang, you were quiet as a mouse. The Sweden is thousands miles away, and you can find time to comment about it. It means what?
Hypocrisy? The absolute HYPOCRISY of Muslims, World Over . Since the Islamic insurgency earnestly began in July 2009—first at the hands of Boko Haram, a professional Islamic terrorist organization, and later by the Fulani, Muslim herdsmen also radicalized and motivated by jihadist ideology—over 60,000 Christians have either been butchered or abducted during raids, never to return and believed to be dead by their loved ones.
About 20,000 churches and Christian schools have also been torched and destroyed during the same timeframe. Not a word of condemnation by the Muslim Leaders of Malaysia. In Sri Lanka on Eastern Sunday in 2019, Muslim terrorists bombed three churches and more, killing 359.
In Nigeria on Easter Sunday in 2014, Islamic terrorists burned a packed church, killing the 150 inside.
In Pakistan in 2016, as Easter Sunday services closed, Islamic terrorists bombed a park where Christians gathered, killing 70 mostly women and children.
In Iraq in 2011, “Islamic terrorists stormed a church in Baghdad during worship and opened fire indiscriminately before detonating their suicide vests. Nearly 60 Christians — including women, children, and babies — were killed.”
In Nigeria in 2012, Easter Sunday, more than 50 died when Muslims exploded bombs near two packed churches.
In Egypt in 2017, Palm Sunday, “Muslims bombed two packed churches; at least 45 were killed, more than 100 wounded.” Still a deafening silence, eh Anwar Ibrahim?
The Muslim world is always stone cold deaf when atrocities are inflicted on other faiths by adherents of their faith, as they believe in slaughtering others by their dogma which they strongly believe in but always obfuscate/confuse others. There is always a deafening silence. ‘Slaughtered Like Rams for Barbecue’ .
As a South African who for ten years publicly spoke out against apartheid injustices, I, nevertheless came to despise countries like Sweden, Canada and Australia in particular for the hypocrisy in their opposition to apartheid when portraying it as the world’s greatest human rights evil.
[I]f one non-Muslim attack on a mosque is enough for the UN to institutionalize a special day for Islam, what about the countless, often worse, Muslim attacks on non-Muslim places of worship? Why have they not elicited a similar response from the UN? One guy burnt a Quran in a Christian country, why apply blasphem laws on them?
