Rudyard Kipling"
āWhen you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā
General Douglas MacArthur"
āWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā
āIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā āOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
āThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā
āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā āThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
āNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
āIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
'Not fair' that opposition MPs denied govt funding - Ain't payback a Bitch Shahidan?
Monday, January 02, 2023
Malaysiakini : Arau MP Shahidan Kassim said it was "not fair" of the Anwar Ibrahim administration to deny opposition MPs funding.
"Although
they call themselves a 'unity government', but we Perikatan Nasional
MPs are not given allocations, while those from Pakatan Harapan do. "In the words of the late P Ramlee - 'this is not fair'," said Shahidan (above), according to Sinar Harian.
Shahidan said PN will be holding discussions with the federal government soon for the peopleās benefit.
Dino : Ha want to ban 4d now less tax to gv you guys.
GoldenTrout7254 : PN has lot of money allocated for duit minyak during GE15 that they can give freely when anyboby ask for it, If there is still lot of money allocated for duit minyak not distribute yet.
Then PN can use that money as an allocation and does not need allocation from current goverment that has a near empty coffer.
Kenny Tan : The government of the past had done this with impunity. I come from a District whose plea for modern hospital was denied for 6 decades (60 years) because the voters voted for the Opposition.
I hope the Unity Government will do what had been denied as soon as possible. Arau is tasting its own medicine and is complaining now.
Fed Up bodoh sombong : I read that this YB was the owner of Bernas before it was off loaded to Syed Moktar . Did he share his profits with the padi farmers from the buta profits he made
241122 : You not fair to umno. Kena dropped for election, you cepat cepat join opposition and attacked umno. umno fed you all these years sudah lupa ke? ungrateful man, you should stay back in umno and support unity government. Then only it's fair.
Kilimanjaro : Sanusi and Takiyuddin have been flashing investment projects and the huge money that these projects can generate. Or was it just an election gimmick?
Whereas it can be reasonably expected that funding given to MPs of the Unity Govt can be channelled for constituency level welfare and structural development for the benefit of the people, given the political framework of PAS, it can be fairly assumed that the money may go towards building madrasahs and religious schools.
It goes without saying that all madrasahs and religious schools should come directly under the Govt and funding for them should have the Govt oversight. It is not just about madrasahs or religious schools - it is a question of bringing them within the purview of te Govt.
Leaving it to PAS can sorely damage the multiracial fabric of the country. Seeing the trasngressions against the NM in Kedah, there cannot be any surpise in store.
Moves by the Kedah PAS and PAS generally leaves no room for doubt that PAS is on a war path - a "war" between the MM and NM. May be it will take more time and more damage for the PH/BN fellows to wake up. May be it is already too late.
