No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Minister confirms missing journo deported to Pakistan during Ismail Sabri's backdoor government
Wednesday, January 04, 2023
Syed Fawad

Malaysiakini : Investigative journalist Syed Fawad Ali Shah who spent a decade in exile in Malaysia was deported back to his country of Pakistan last August.

Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail confirmed that Syed Fawad, 41, was a refugee in Malaysia prior to his deportation at the request of the Pakistani government.

"Syed Fawad is a Pakistani national who has been living in Malaysia for a long time. His presence here caught the attention of the Pakistani government and they requested his repatriation.

"This request was done through the previous government (under former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob), not the current one," Saifuddin Nasution told reporters today when met after his official visit to the Prisons Department's headquarters in Kajang.

flyingeagle : Why Zakir Naik was not deported back to India when the Indian Government requested for to answer court charges? WILL THE HOME MISTER ACT ACCORDINGLY TO DEPORT ZAKIR NAIK?

Vijay47 : Going by the facts given in this report, the deportee Syed Fawad Ali Shah was a former police officer supposedly with several disciplinary charges against him and secondly, he later turned journalist, writing articles critical of the Pakistani government.

One would assume that his alleged poor service record would have been addressed through departmental queries while articles critical of his government would hardly be worthy of international concord. My only question here is whether either of these so-called misdeeds warranted his being repatriated to Islamabad, an act so willingly obliged to by Ismail Sabri.

However, two other points are disturbing. Syed Fawad Ali Shah was so gladly sent home by the then government yet when Delhi requested that our famous Zakir Naik be repatriated to India, our equally famous Mahathir Mohamad replied that the renegade could not be assured of a fair trial under the Indian judicial system.

The other even more distressing is the sentence “Syed Fawad Ali Shah was located and deported”.

How I wish Indira Gandhi was the beneficiary of similar able response from the Malaysian police.

VP Biden : Hypocritical pn gomen on top of mismanaging the country, sullied Malaysias name internationally with this action of deporting a UNHCR refugee who will face political persecution back home. Same persecution they intend to impose on many Malaysians if in power.

Newday : Ummm- different Home Minister and completely different Government in August 2022. You should be referring all your very relevant questions to the previous Government. Don’t smear the new Home Minister in this way. No doubt it took some time to feret out the reluctant truth of this.

sanakyan : The honourable religious preacher Zakir Naik has a lot of apartments, godowns and madrassa schools which has made him and his family mult-millionaires.

Even recently the Mumbai High Court has charged him for various non-bailable offences. Why is our government harbouring a known criminal instead of deporting him? Different standards for different people even though the alleged crimes are very serious in nature.

Fair Play : Home Minister, Now it is the time to talk the walk. Shouldn’t Zakir Naik be on the list to be deported too?

Mano : Saifuddin, India requested that Zakir Naik be deported to them, right? Bila nak hantar?

Anon25 : OK now that Mahathir is no longer in power and you are why not send ZN and his whole family back to India. ZN is a Malaysian PR? No problem, withdraw it. Mahathir may object? No problem. Mahathir can join him in India.

Weep for Malaysia : Sad but this Home Minister is one of the worst ministerial appointments in this Anwar administration. A total disappointment and lacks creditability.
