Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Malaysiakini : Editor's note: The Prime Minister's Office
deleted a Facebook post which was the source for this article on grounds
that it was necessary to protect the victim.
Prime
Minister Anwar Ibrahim will ask Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek to
probe an allegation of bullying in school and racism by a teacher. Anwar received the complaint in a handwritten note which he shared on his Facebook page this morning.
The letter appeared to be written by the victim. The name of the victim has been withheld because the person is a minor. The victim claimed to have been bullied by a group and faced a racist slur from a teacher.
"I am writing to you because I want you to stop racism," wrote the victim. Anwar's caption accompanying the letter thanked the victim for writing in and promised a swift probe.
Gerard Lourdesamy : Vernacular schools are not the cause of racism. Abolishing them is not going to solve the issue. The cause of racism is the mindset of the teachers in government schools who are majority from a single race and religion who are influenced by their political and religious thinking.
When I was in a mission school in the 1970s to 1980s, our teachers were of various races and religions but I do not recall a single racist incident throughout my 11 years in school. Our teachers then were strict but fair to all races and religions. Now it is about "us" and "them".
The indoctrination of hate, suspicion and mistrust in our public schools and universities is shocking. Until our teachers and schools become more inclusive and diverse, these problems will remain unsolved. The new unity government should also regulate the madrasahs and thafiz schools that are sprouting everywhere but God only knows what is their curriculum, quality and standards of teaching.
Most of these schools seem to be aligned to a particular religious political party with radical and fundamentalist tendencies. If we do not deal with this alarming situation now, we are going to end up with radicalised religious thinking along the lines of the Taliban and IS, which is just one step away from violence.
Kilimanjaro : Those who asked for vernacular schools to be abolished did not ask for the MARA Colleges to be abolished too. Why?
Headhunter : Precisely. Ever heard of indiscipline in Chinese median schools or even Tamil schools? On the other hand, we hear of so many issues including bullying and sexual abuse in government and religious schools.
Don't simply blame vernacular schools without any evidence. If anyone is to blame it's our race-based sub-standard education, poor quality teachers and string of below par education ministers and senior officers.
Nuyiko : Another group of Facebook users, however, urged the prime minister to abolish vernacular schools, claiming that such a policy would help eradicate racism.

National school is the one that filled with racism while vernacular school has more diverse student population. Generally, national school also produced more unemployable when the teachers themselves became teacher after they can't find job else where.
Those who want to abolish vernacular schools are most likely the same racist who belived that unity should based on unity of majority of race and religion, so once unity of majority is achieved other will follow.
Their concept of unity is based on supremacy and domination over group that they see as minority or immigrants.
Racism is fueling by these people, their concept of unity and their behaviors.
