Malaysiakini : Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will be heading to Kelantan today to assess the flood situation there.
He said an announcement will be made after getting feedback from the ground and from the state government. Speaking
during the post-cabinet press conference in Putrajaya today, Anwar said
the government is also considering more involvement from NGOs and
volunteer groups, as well as the armed forces to tackle the floods.
“Because
of the floods and the people’s hardships, we have also decided to
cancel major new year celebrations at Dataran Merdeka,” he added.

bravemalaysian : If this tragedy had happened in Penang or other states, or if BN had won in Kelantan or Terengganu, the hypocrite party PAS would have said that its God's punishment on the state for not voting PAS.
It is God's retribution to the voters. Now they have nothing to say. I sympatise with the sufferings of our fellow Malaysians, the result of selfish and greedy man's activities which has caused this terrible climate change.
