No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Nabbed under Sosma, 33 men still in detention after 2 years awaiting trial By Arulldas Sinnappan
Saturday, December 17, 2022

Family members of Sosma detainees in Kajang Prison

Malaysiakini : A total of 33 families in Sungai Petani, Kedah, were left in the lurch after police arrested their sole breadwinners under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) in 2020.

Over two years later, the men aged 22 to 60 are still in remand waiting for their court hearing, after being subsequently charged under the Penal Code.

One of the detainee’s wife was pregnant when he was arrested, so he has not had a chance to meet his child. The families said police kept them in the dark for more than two days after the arrest in September 2020, before informing them that the detainees were being held at the Pendang police headquarters pending investigations.

R Divani, 24, from Kampung Rusa in Sungai Petani said her husband, J Thanes, 24, was detained two weeks after they registered their marriage in September 2020.

“I feel lonely after the police took him. I now have the responsibility to take care of my old parents-in-law and I do take both of them with me when I visit my husband in prison weekly,” she said teary-eyed.

“We order food for him from the canteen as the food served in prison is tasteless.”

She said the family borrows money to pay for expenses for the trip to Alor Setar, but always pays for whatever he needs in prison, including toiletries.

The 33 detainees are:

  1. G Thiyagu, 24

Me : Saifuddin Nasution with a Indon sounding name, why has Hadi Awang NOT been arrested for waging war against the Malaysian Constitution?

BOBBYO : 28 days to 2 years and the charges keep changing. How Saifuddin when you stood and protected PDRM from abusing Sosma ? This is just one of the instance, not forgetting the jailing of Maria and the LTTE suspects.

It have being abused more than once. It is time to review the law and make sure that it not being abused by any other authority. It is suppose to be used against terrorisism as well as those who sabotage the security of the nation. The picture you paint is that these individuals are either involved in secret soceity/ gangsterism activities or completely innocent.

There are enough laws under the Secret Soceity act to bring them to justice. So make up your mind Saifuddin. Do not be like a lallang that blows like a wind. At the same time do not just listen to one side for imformation. Find or investigate yourself like the Minister Loke. Go to the ground to get the true picture.

Kilimanjaro : Not even one Malay. Of course, Malays are perfect. One cannot help think that this is more of a racial persecution. If indeed they have committed alleged crimes. charge them in Court. What nonsense is Saifuddin talking about - after 28 days everything will be according to the law - and which law - is it SOSMA?

Mano : Did we welcome back and embrace our sons-of-the soil who were branded terrorists and deported to us from other countries where they showcased their terrorist skills? Where are these people now? Safe in their homes, with their families?

Maimun : This new home minster, walk the talk! Jangan temberang! Selalu India kebanyakan, tanpa bukti!!!! Tak tau apa nak buat, hantar jail, macam kamu ini judge!!!! Now you the minister, do the right thing! Malaysia under DSAI is modern society, police need to buck up! Face 2020+++, jangan ketinggalan!

YellowGopher7568 : Sounds like ethnic cleansing! Do these people have the moral high ground to complain about Jews persecuting Palestinians? Clean your backyard first before pointing fingers at others. Now can understand why the HM is refusing to reconsider amending SOSMA.
