Rudyard Kipling"
āWhen you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā
General Douglas MacArthur"
āWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā
āIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā āOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
āThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā
āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā āThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
āNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
āIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Don't block independent hate preachers who support PN - Muhyiddin
Wednesday, December 28, 2022
Preachers of hate....
At any rate..
Whether supporting pn ph or others to date....
Must know what is their fate...
When take hate as soulmate...
Media not breeding ground for
those desperate..
To give views disparate....
From federal constitution that all need emulate - Loga
Malaysiakini : Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin urged the
authorities not to restrict independent preachers who have openly
expressed their support for the party from speaking in mosques and on
television.
Muhyiddin (above) said since the election has
ended, it is appropriate that no preacher, regardless of their
political views, should be blocked from delivering a sermon.
"I
know many influential parties, including independent preachers and
famous artistes, who openly supported PN during the last GE15. "There
are also those who express open support for other parties including
Pakatan Harapan and BN. This is their right in a democratic country.
Ghost Rider : Find prove Mahiaddin pays these hate preachers money and then he can be SOSMAed, just like what he did to DAP assemblymen using false LTTE accusations.
Tembikai : Not only do we want to block preachers who preach intolerance, we want to banish them to Afghanistan!
BlackCarp0911 : Sorry mr muhidin, your PN, and most importantly your PAS in PN, campaigned based on religious and racial bigotry. And your hadi is still on it. No need to portray yourself as a saint. Clean your own backyard first.
ScallopEatMcD : It is not the preachers that the gomen want to block, it is the lies they carry and disseminate to the ignorant listeners that the government wants to block at all cost. Otherwise our country would be turning into a Taliban state in near future.
That is a NO NO for Malaysia. Those who long for a theocratic Muslim state should go and stay in Afgan or some Muslim countries and "enjoy" the stay, see whether they still dare to demand for a full Islamic state for Malaysia. Kena baru tau bau.
Vijay47 : How I indeed agree with you, Muhyiddin Yassin, preachers must not be blocked from spreading the Good Word! Yet I am unable to reconcile your urgings when you refer to āpreachers who support PNā. How would such a relationship arise?
Preachers share the teachings of faith, how does politics enter the equation? When a preacher resorts to political persuasion, doesnāt that automatically disqualify him?
Yes, how true also that it is a democratic right.
Thus such freedom as you advocate must also be extended to those who have the Good News of non-Islamic religions to be experienced by adherents of their own beliefs and even others who may express an interest.
No doubt you will agree, Muhyiddin Yassin, that non-Muslims are also citizens who have, yes, the same democratic rights as Muslims.
And let us end that over-flogged horse that sermons and lectures over television and radio would be tantamount to proselytizing to Muslims ā Muslims can always change their TV channels to one more of their liking.
Why should non-Muslims be deprived of a facility that they are entitled to as Malaysians?
Preachings and sermons relate to religion through the expounding of the virtues of particular faiths, politics is not an element of religious belief.
So isnāt your demand a contradiction, Muhyiddin Yassin? What is worse and highly dangerous is that religious talks instead of spreading harmony and spirituality, invariably teach animosity and enmity, usually accompanied by insults, offence, and falsehoods.
Persons who indulge in such deadly conduct should be arrested and prosecuted. And the first one to face such deterrent action should be you yourself, Muhyiddin Yassin. Nobody has forgotten your recent combustible accusations against the Christians, Jews, and other imaginary āenemies of Islamā.
Hadi Awang will be a close second.
I am sure you agree that hate-mongers should be charged. Yes, in that same land of democratic rights.
