Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

For reforms sweeping.....
as a promise to voters in keeping....
to stop divisions that are deepening....
Foster good ties and stop rakyat
grievances creeping.....
As he knows what he sows will be reaping - Loga
Malaysiakini : Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced a flurry of items in his
"housekeeping list" since taking the oath of office last week.
From
matters ranging from gambling to telecommunications, rice monopoly and
flood mitigation, below is a look at what the premier has called for a
review/investigation over, thus far, in no particular order:
5G rollout
Anwar, who is also the finance minister, has instructed a review
of the RM11 billion 5G network contract awarded by Digital Nasional
Berhad (DNB) to Swedish telecommunications giant Ericsson under the
previous administration, due to issues in how the contract was awarded.
Flood mitigation
Also under review is the RM7 billion worth of approvals under the RM15 billion flood mitigation process, that Anwar said was done through direct negotiation instead of a tender process.
Alleged misappropriation of RM600 billion
Anwar alleged the Finance Ministry has found "violations" in the awarding of RM600 billion without tender on unspecified matters, during the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration.
Gambling
In a press conference yesterday, Anwar also implied that PN's election funds partly came from gaming companies involved in special draws. "On the issue of gambling, certainly this is partly used to finance elections. (I have asked for) checks on that.
Next on the list?
According to him, both the Selangor and Sarawak state governments
faced lengthy delays in attempts to source their own vaccines.
The
Pakatan Harapan chairperson called for an investigation into the
procurement bottlenecks faced by the federal and state governments, as
well as the private sector.
apanama is back : Next in this housekeeping lists should be BREAKING UP of the MONOPOLY.
We need to go for it in order to BRING DOWN the price of products (eg: rice) and services (eg: electricity and phone).
There are many monopoly compaines in Malaysia. Break them up and ask them to compete. Make sure competent person helm at all these break up companies. No more easy money.
Because of monopoly, politician such as Muhyiddin utilised their link/network to get sponsorship for election and its campaign, I help you, you help me mantra.
Once you break up this monopoly, you are not only could stop the wastage and corruption but at the same time brings down the inflation rate.
Make it as a long term goal and go for it. Time is now!
Focusapp : Full revamp of MACC should be a top priority.
