No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

Altantuya murder: Court orders govt to pay RM5m to family By Hidir Reduan Abdul Rashid
Friday, December 16, 2022

Malaysiakini : The Shah Alam High Court ordered the government and three others to pay RM5 million to the family of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu who was murdered in 2006.

Civil court judge Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera’s verdict in favour of the family this morning comes 15 years after the civil action was filed in 2007. The three plaintiffs - Shariibuu Setev and Altantseseg Sanjaa who are the deceased’s father and mother as well as her (Altantuya’s) brother Mungunshagai Bayarjargal - are suing for RM100 million.

The suit targeted two former members of the Special Actions Unit (UTK) - Azilah Hadri and Sirul Azhar Umar - as well as political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda and the Malaysian government.

Altantuya was murdered in October 2006 and her remains were blown up with military-grade explosives. A separate criminal court convicted Azilah and Sirul of the murder and sentenced them to death in April 2009. However, the criminal court acquitted Razak of abetting the murder without his defence being called in October 2008.

During proceedings conducted online today, Vazeer ordered the four defendants to also pay annual interest of five percent on the RM5 million compensation, as well as each defendant to pay costs of RM25,000 to the family.

Vazeer - who was previously elevated to the Court of Appeal but is today presiding in the High Court matter - ruled that the family succeeded in proving their civil suit against the four defendants on a balance of probabilities.

Me : Need to connect with that felon in Kajang!!

AdiviPanthi : There is still no justice. Blood money? Pleez, the actual perpetrators have not been strung up. The ones behind the scenes. Whilst at it when will Teoh Beng Hock get justice, we want to see the MACC guys brought to trial. Yes, so many others, the many Indian deaths in custody too.

BaiJeBo : Teoh BH, Pastor Koh, etc etc.

Headhunter : Taxpayers have to foot the bill when the real perpetrators got away with her murder. Isn’t this prove enough that someone in power was responsible for her murder? The government should reopen the case.

AntiRacial : Altantuya Murder: Court orders govt to pay RM5m to family. This clearly shows there is foul play in her death. Public taxpayers’ money is involved in paying this amount. So, as a next step, please bring those responsible for her murder and punish them with a jail term and fine to reclaim back the public money

Newday : Maybe with this current Government the complete truth of those behind this most despicable of murders will finally come out. The two who carried out the task did not do so of their own choice. Kevin Morais and the assassinated Ambank CEO also had hidden hands in their demise.

MS : A paltry sum for a murder most foul, directed by an unrepentant criminal who has yet to be nailed for this. Judge Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera should order fresh investigations to expose the murderer only because the two policemen did not wake up one morning in 2006 and decide to kill an unknown "chinese" woman.

And the self-acclaimed reformists now perched in Putrajaya with their shady allies should also probe those who engineered the cover up including the robed crooks in the Bar who concocted statutory declarations which they forced upon the late PI Bala.

And Malaysians must never forget that it was the first time in Malaysian history or in the history of any nation that a judge, the defense counsel and the prosecution all joined hands to prevent the appearance of the felon now in jail for a lesser offense.

FellowMalaysian : The peace in Altantuya's family was violently shattered when she was brutally shot to death while she was reportedly pregnant with Baginda's child and her body blown into pieces in 2007.

The travail and toil of her father Shariibuu Setev in seeking justice for her daughter lasted the past 15 years and the Civil Court has made a rightful award in compensation for the tragic death of her daughter.

In my opinion, the grief and sufferings the family has gone through that left her two young sons Mangunshagai and Altanshagai without a mother were inumerable and immeasurable and no amount of compensation will be able to bring her back or appease or atone the father and the family.

The case in seeking justice for Altantuya's family has not ended with this RM5 million award. Rather, this has marked the first stage in Shariibuu's yet unfinished journey of agony and anguish. The Malaysian government now need to offer deep regret and apologies to Shariibuu and his family.

Next will be for Shariibuu to seek criminal actions and justice against the perpatrators and instgators whether they are running freely or have been detained or jailed since her death.
