Rudyard Kipling"
āWhen you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā
General Douglas MacArthur"
āWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā
āIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā āOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
āThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā
āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā āThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
āNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
āIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Malaysiakini : Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin has claimed that
a remark attributed to him that Pakatan Harapan is a "Jewish agent" has
been taken out of context.
See for yourself what this liar said!!
In a statement, the incumbent Pagoh MP said a video on social media which showed him uttering the words, which has courted backlash, was "selectively edited" and circulated by his political opponents to tarnish his image and create a false narrative.
Below is Muhyiddin's statement in full:
I refer to the video clip circulating on TikTok which has selectively edited my speech in Johor a few days ago. My statements were completely taken out of context and circulated by
PNās political opponents specifically to tarnish my image and to create a
false narrative.
My entire speech was approximately 55 minutes
long. This clip that is circulating on TikTok and social media is a
limited one minute and 35 seconds out of the whole speech.
I
specifically and unequivocally spoke about the need for political
stability, the need to avoid corruption, the need for DAP to show
restraint in its demands and to respect the rights of all races in
Malaysia including the special rights of the Malays and the Malay
rulers.
In fact, at the 48-minute mark of the speech, I
specifically and unequivocally stated the intention of Perikatan
Nasional to implement the Shared Prosperity Vision so that no race would
be left behind. I said:
Ajinomoto : What stupidity again! I watched the entire video. The 1 min plus video is after all done by your own Cybertrooper! You lied and then you claim that you were taken out of context. We will see you in losing your seat!
Gerard Lourdesamy : Podahlah. Frankly, you sicken me. There is nothing redeeming about you. You are the lowest of the low. Your entire PN campaign with PAS was about race and religion. Inciting the Malays to hate the non-Malays and the non-Muslims.
I do not know what type of Malay culture and Islam that Bersatu and PAS represent. Thank God a clear majority of Malay voters and virtually every Chinese, Indian, Kadazan and Iban voter is going to reject you and PN in the peninsula, Sabah and Sarawak.
Your clarification is too late in coming and so insincere after the huge damage it has done to race relations, mutual respect, acceptance and tolerance in the country. I pray to Almighty God that you are defeated in Pagoh and that the voters in Semenanjung, Sabah and Sarawak will teach your party and your local allies a lesson that they will never forget.
Hajiji and Abang Joe take note. It is not about religious freedom in Sabah and Sarawak, but about supporting a federal leader who wants to become PM who is an unrepentent racist and extremist. The reputation of the country will be in tatters if such a hate monger is elected. I have not witnessed a racist campaign such as by PN in a general election in this country even from BN. Muhyiddin is a disgrace.
