Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Who will answer for this inhumanity of the worst kind in Malaysia?

Indians never get ic..
Who is to answer if not mic....
Represent indians as tweedle dum and tweedle dee...
As they are turned down yearly, all at sea....
When foreign footballers allowed as citizens to be....
Is it too much for those living here, to be a licensee.....
To enjoy rights as newly granted roaming free....
Or are indians still not qualified when mic plays wait and see - Loga
Via WhatsApp: The attached video by Malaysia Gazette TV (Watch "#PRU15: Macam Mana Nak Undi? 65 Tahun Tinggal di Malaysia IC Masih Merah! 'Uncle' Luah Rasa Kecewa" on YouTube) cannot be swept under the carpet as we hit the last one week of PRU15 campaign.
It is left to be seen which political coalition or leader of the packs will bring this cruel reality to the fore.
Indeed what is the meaning of nationhood if we could completely ignore the plight of peope like this Indian man and his family featured in the video news who have been in Malaysia for sixty five years and still yoked with a red IC?
This case, by any account, is only the tip of the iceberg of many things gone wrong in a nation that proclaims demoxracy as its bastion of nationhood.
We have heard that there are migrant workers here who have obtained citizenship.
We have heard that citizenship was on sale in the country (in Sabah).
But here is a crystal clear evidence based account of how a child was brought to Malaysia as a three month old baby by his parents; lived all his life of 65 years in Malaysia; and built a family of three children with the eldest being 19 years old now.
But he was denied citizenship despite being issued a red national identification card (red NRIC).
And because of this denial of citizenship, his children could never go to school.
And left with this scourge the entire family have to work as trash collectors for a living.
A Javanese can become a multimiionaire and leader of a political party and is right now perceived to be lurking as a camaflouged prime minister in waiting.
A foreign preacher can be be given all the protection he needs in order not to face court charges and possible imprisonment back in his original homeland.
Foreign nationals can become business partners here and enjoy the numerous government contracts that turn them into millionaires.
But a family that has lived here for 65 years is still punished with a red IC.
If no political party coalition, its leaders or candidates vying for votes at this 15th general election take up this issue of red ICs on the campaign beat and incorporate it as a priority in their 'bed of red roses' manifestos then all of us Malaysians have failed humanity most cruelly.
We can only be the most selfish people to clamour for a better Malaysia for ourselves while failing to address this well hidden truth of selective (or discriminatory) citizenship awarding.
I call upon every citizen, every civil rights body, every religious congregation to voice out this acrimonious denial of fundamental rights that have left this man, his family and probably many more people on the edge of deprivation of the worst order.
I pray many media will also lend their voices to help right this grave wrong in our midst.
Indeed such failures on our part are the reason why corruption and discriminatory politics thrive in Malaysia.
Will this news report by MGTV ignite an honest, soul searching and responsible response to a problem that goes against any universal principle, religious teachings and human conduct?
