Malaysiakini : Social activist Haris Ibrahim, best known as the force behind the Asalkan Bukan Umno
(Anything But Umno) movement, believes that the time has come for
Malaysians to recognise the divisive and dangerous nature of PAS'
ideology.
“Asalkan bukan PAS,” he said when asked about Pakatan Harapan conducting negotiations with Umno-led BN following the 15th general election.
“It
looks like Harapan has to turn to Umno/BN to avoid a PAS-dominated
government, which is what would happen if PN was allowed to take the
lead in forming the new administration.
“I have
touched on two elements regarding the divisive politics of the country.
One is ethnicity. The other is religion and PAS represents the most
dangerous of the latter,” he said.
GrayBison1996 : Yes, PAS did not practise extremism under Tuan Guru Nik Aziz. But the present crop under Hadi Clown is terrible - in Kedah, no 4D and destruction of a 100 over year old temple on the pretext that it is illegal, no cinemas in Trg & Kelantan. Old Malay culture is dead like the wayang kulit. More likely, paedophiles will increase with the support for child marriages.
YellowKancil0051 : We got only a bite sized taste of PAS in the federal govt with Takiyuddin and Tuan Ibrahim with the Law and Environment portfolios. By my recollection, their performance was so terrible one of them got a formal telling off from the YDPA.
Imagine PAS controlling key ministries like Home, Communications, Education, Defence and Finance.
Think carefully, Malaysia. This is indeed dangerous territory.

As for the PAS, the new government need to monitor the 'sekolah pondok', madrasah and the tahfiq school. The indoctrination starts from young.. Once they attain the age of 18, 'pangkah' PAS. This is what happened on that unfateful day, 19th November 2022.
Since the seat won by PAS was 44 out of 73 won by PN, this should be an EYEOPENER to everyone in Malaysia. All the right thinking Malaysians should go for the ROOT CAUSES. The root causes are as what I mentioned above.
We need to nip it in the bud.
Otherwise, that 44 seat could even become 144 seats in next 5 or 10 years. The warning sign is already there. The new administration at Putrajaya need to be wary with PAS resurgent.
As I mentioned in my earlier comment, we need to go all out to protect our secularism and federal constitution.
These two are our safeguard that we need to protect at all cost. Our previous Prime Ministers, the first seven, are able to did that while putting PAS at their arm's length. In the past, the party is usually confine in Kelantan only. Today it goes beyond Kelantan.
From now onward, never be complacent with PAS anymore. Reduce and eliminate their popularity.
