No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

DAP won't control Harapan, Anwar says By Isabelle Leong
Saturday, November 05, 2022
A Sign Of The End Of An Era?

Anwar takes a long road to mandalay..... When pm and mb must be malay.... As DAP says ok and olay.... But he knows this is only a play... Not to spook malays suspicious to this day..... Of chinese party and thus keep at bay.... But be on political outskirts or outlay - Loga

Malaysiakini : In a bid to assuage the concerns of Malay electorates, Pakatan Harapan chairperson Anwar Ibrahim assured that DAP would not be in control of the coalition under his watch if it wins the coming national polls.

Anwar explained that DAP is a faithful ally and accepts as well as respects the Constitution.

"Let me say this, if we win the election, the one who will be the leader is Anwar, not (former premier) Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

"Secondly, the government in the country will always have a Malay prime minister and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is Malay, and a Malay menteri besar like in Perak and Selangor,” he said in a speech during a meet and greet event with the Indian community in Ulu Kinta, Perak this evening.

Proarte : I do not know why Anwar cannot disabuse himself of "Ketuanan" politics. Malays form over 60% of the electorate but yet dominate the Civil Service in an obscenely discriminatory manner whereby 90% of the positions are held by them.

Virtually 99% of the heads of departments are Malays, 99% of the CEOs of GLCs are Malays and 100% of the Vice-Chancellors in our 30 odd public universities are Malays. The is there is ' total domination' by Malays in the public sphere in Malaysia and the non-Malays are 2nd class citizens.

Paradoxically non-Malays pay 90% of taxes in Malaysia according to Mahathir in a rare moment of candour. This second class status has shocking been subliminally accepted by the non-Malays and their leaders, who are supposedly fighting for their rights.

We saw how UMNO relegated all other parties in BN to willing political pawns over the past 50 years with the loyalty of the non-Malay politicians being bought through appointments and ample opportunities to enrich themselves without censure.

In the 2018 elections, the Rakyat were conned into believing that a "New Malaysia" was in the offing. Mahathir, being the doyen of Malay racial and Islamic bigotry was given carte blanche in a surreal manner to dominate the cabinet of DAP and PKR with their ministers willing pawns to their master Mahathir.

They allowed him to systematically destroy them politically by their slavish indifference to what was happening before their eyes. Even the legendary Lim Kit Siang shockingly lost his political voice and bravery, and trained his crosshairs on everyone except Mahathir, the arch villain in the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.

The non-Malay public knew what was going on and were bitterly disappointed to see their leaders being political eunuchs who willingly allowed themselves to be castrated by Mahathir. The perks of office and fear of losing them seemed to have seduced them into total submission.

The total disappointment which followed the collapse of the PH government has led to wide spread cynicism of politics and voter fatigue for the 2022 elections. It remains to be seen whether PH can rekindle some semblance of the 2018 spirit for change away from our Malay racist and Kleptocratic governance.

Sadly, DAP seems to have learned from the methods of Mahathir and have culled their party of popular, intellectual and independent minded MPs which is a worrying trend. It seems Anthony Loke and his cronies in the DAP want total domination and submission of the party to his will.

Fortunately, PKR leaders are showing that they are more independent minded and speak their minds openly and do not allow Anwar to totally subjugate them. Anwar too has realised that he has to give way to younger generation leaders like Rafizi and his daughter Nurul.

Anwar adds salt to injury by talking about DAP ( read non-Malays) not "controlling" Pakatan Harapan as if this was even possible because non-Malay being a minority. As I mentioned earlier, the Malays dominate disproportionately at every level.

Rather than trying to assuage Malays, it is the non-Malays who should be assuaged and told they will not be treated as second class citizens under a PH government led by Anwar. Non-Malays should have a quota to be filled for Civil Service employment which reflects their population ratio as a bare minimum.

Our police force, army, government departments and agencies, universities , judiciary etc should start to accept the notion that Malaysia belongs to all races and that Malays and Islam are not "Tuans" and that they refuse to be "Pak Turut" to Malays as Hadi Awang of PAS says they should be.

The Constitution with the documented Malay privileges must be interpreted in the context of redressing an imbalance when Malays were relatively backward. Importantly, the Constitution talks about the legitimate rights of the non-Malays as well, but this is ignored.

It mentions reserving positions for Malays in the Civil service in a manner which is "reasonable". It never mentioned creating an "Apartheid " system which is the current reality. Anwar should also introduce the concept of meritocracy so that talent and hard work is recognised and rewarded. About 2 million people of Malaysian ancestry with talent and wealth are abroad.

They left Malaysia because of the blatant discrimination here and this has had a terrible effect on our economy, educational standards and deprived us of a 1st world status which Singapore enjoys.

The current system which induces laziness and a ''free ride'' mentality in the Malays should be phased out to be replaced by a merit based system where the welfare of B40 will be taken care of based on need and not based on race or religion.

Anwar cannot talk from both sides of his mouth. He says "We are human and should not humiliate others just because of their race and religion", but in the next breath ''reassures" the Malays of Perak that the MB will be Malay. This begs the question as to why a qualified non-Malay cannot be an MB?

He also said only a Malay can be Prime Minister again humiliating non-Malays by his comments. Anwar should be aware that our former colonial power Britain has a Hindu Indian as the Prime Minister and they represent only 3 % of the population.

Anwar should look at himself and stop being a serial hypocrite and not play politics with race and religion. This is UMNO style politics which has no place in the civilised world and 21st century.
