Malaysiakini : Incumbent Tambun MP Ahmad Faizal Azumu said his opponent Anwar
Ibrahim should stop sidestepping the issue and categorically state
whether or not he will withdraw his statement regarding Israel.Faizal (above, left) was referring to a 2012 interview between Anwar and the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) in which Anwar said: “I support all efforts to protect the security of the state of Israel.” “Anwar avoided and did not answer my question, which was whether he would withdraw his statement (on Israel).
“That was Anwar’s stand to WSJ back in 2012 which led to the Palestinian ambassador’s criticism of him. “I call on Anwar, as Pakatan Harapan’s prime minister candidate, to
immediately state whether he would withdraw the statement or not.
“The
Israeli regime should get a clear message that the leader of this
country will not compromise at all with them,” Faizal said in a
statement today. Faizal had first fired a salvo
against Anwar on his Israel statement about a week ago, but the former
deputy prime minister had reportedly declined to comment further on it.
In his response, Anwar said he was close to the late Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat (who died of Aids) for many years.
Semuaboleh : Hello...what does Israel has to do with the welfare of the people of Tambun and Malaysia. Don't we have enough problem domestically? Ringgit is dropping to its worst level ever. Prices of eggs and chickens are more important issue now.
Anti Backdoor Government Simon PJ : Just after independence until 1970, Perak was the most industrialized state in Malaysia with a thriving SMI sector. Residents had one of the highest standards of living in the country.
Today Perak is one of the poorer states in Malaysia after the continuous mismanagement of the UMNO state government.
Azumu, how this Israel issue going help people of Perak? Please talk and do something useful
righteousness4all : Faizal should concentrate on local issues........ Faizal, you cannot even solve let alone looked into local issues thus, stop bitching about Israel and foreign issues.
Faizal you are someone without backbone for a starter & worst because just another piece of dung/
Lone_star : The curry mee connoisseur has no other better stuff to attack DSAI with!
Talk lah more regarding the most important issues facing the Rakyats :
1, Corruption
2. Roti and mentega issues
3. How to stop the selling of tablets
4. How to deal with the falling price of rubber
5. How to deal with the falling value of the RM
and many more.
Vgeorgemy : Fizal, don’t sidestep the issues of the steep increase in our cost of daily necessities and the steep decline in the RM against US$ and Singapore $.
What have you done to maintain the price of your favourite curry mee? GE15 is for the local population’s well-being before we settle foreign issues.
The Arab countries are establishing diplomatic relations with Israel. What has your middle eastern envoy done to unwind this diplomatic recognition?
How can Arab nations establish diplomatic relations with Israel under the watch of your Middle Eastern Envoy, Hadi Awang? Why are you side step on the incompetence of our foreign policy?
Anonymous_1598835738824.2491598835402726 : You got no issue to talk about just shut up Katak.. What has Israel got to do with Tambun or even Malaysia..? talk about our issues here, cost of living, education and health issues...you talk about Israel..bodoh nya si katak ni...
PurpleTrout9000 : Have you come out to categorically reject perasuah , pembohong ,pencuri that is now in jail ? If you are so pure and righteous , why do you still support Rasuah , Pembohong , Pencuri ?
Headhunter : What has Israel to do with this election? Are the Palestinians voting or what?
GreenViper4010 : Absolutely spot on! Israel's relevance to GE 15 is on a par with cockroaches in Taman Botani!
Cogito Ergo Sum : Inflation, high cost of living, housing woes, unemployment, impending GST! These are bread and butter issues that should be brought up. Not Israel.
What has Israel got to do with voters in Tambun? How to feed the family and put food on the table is a very real and oppressing dilemma facing the people. Not an issue that is going on 2500 miles away.
cocomomo : Peja is still living beneath a tempurung . He needs to grow up , if he can . He needs to move beyond curry Mee . Neighbouring Arab nations are establishing ties with Israel .
They been buying food supplies from Israel for decades .
Israel was established in the location thousands of years ago . They are not perfect .
The Israeli parliament has many freely elected Arab MPs .
Learn & grow up Peja .
BlackCheetah8217 : This is the problem with kampung standard politician just as good as the lebai politicians who are only good at slandering, spreading lies, manipulating religion & not honest to the truth & facts.
I am not a staunch supporter to any party nor individuals but i hold to the principle of what is right & wrong.
I still remember exactly the entire statement from Anwar on this.
What peja said was taken out of context.
Undeniable Anwar did utter that statement but what was intentionally taken out of context by peja in bad faith was anwar"s following statement that is "contingent to Israel respecting the aspiration of the Palestinians "
This is the problem with politicians of this calibre. It's ok to slander, lie, manipulate the truth of fact and totally ignoring the ethic of politics
ScallopJilatDedak : Bull sheet! What AI has got to do with Isreal? Why not you traitor ask your boskuku who his marketing agent? Remember he spent millions on that Jewish company to prop up his personal image?
And you should answer why Malaysia abstained in voting for debate of Uyghur issue in UN recently. You answer these first before want to talk more cock.
Red Cicak : I am Malaysian and I harbour no ill will against Israel. I don’t think BN politicians care about palestinians other than to dredge them up for their own political benefit. Maybe Faizal should move to Palestine if he cares so much for them.
Iphonezours : Faizal..this is cheapskate politics. Firstly the official stand of the Malaysian Government has always been supporting a “two state solution” where Israel & a Palestinian state living in peace side by side where the security of both nations are guaranteed.
What Anwar mentioned in the WSJ interview is nothing more than the official position of our country but when you pick & choose the lines, it will be seen as supporting Israel.
Btw…we are living in Malaysia, we have more other pressing issues on economy, education, health, management of the country, corruption, racial/religious bigotry. Get your priorities right.
