Malaysiakini : Perlis Mufti Mohd Asri Zainal is "stunned" by the speech of a
politician who stressed the importance of winning the election to avoid
being slapped with criminal charges.

politician can openly admit (that his political party/coalition) has to
win the general election to avoid corruption charges against them. If
that happens, this country will become a haven for corruption," he
tweeted earlier today.The religious leader (above), who frequently comments on the country's political issues, did not mention who he was referring to in the tweet.

Newday : Always intrigues when someone comments on a current issue surrounding an individual and never mentions the name. Why bother? Is obvious to all who you are talking about. You think that this might save you from defamation claim?
I doubt it. PS: Mufti for once I agree with you. Why haven’t you and/or most of the other Mufti’s not been screaming about this festering corruption for some time? You have been mostly silent.

Mufti's should be banned from politics unless they want their religion critised.
GreenKoala4364 : We don't need a mufti to tell us the politician is worse than a gangster making statement "win election to avoid prosecution". I don't think this mufti has involved himself anything political by saying a truthful statement.
I pray the Malay voters young and old will wake up in time to prevent permanent damage to the country by voting in the corrupt Malay leaders again. I m not a politician, but seeing the irresponsible Malay leaders siphoned out all the wealth which are supposed to be used to develop the poor and less educated Malays, it's painful and disappointing.
Ordinary Malays must live up to their noble and respectful culture of integrity and dignity. Malay culture is definitely not the apa Malu Boss ku. It's a disgusting and shamedul character, even to call him a human. If all the respected and noble characteristics of Malay culture is given up by the Malay community, who will respect u, even if u have billions?
