Malaysiakini : Pahang BN chairperson Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said he has yet to receive
complete information regarding Pekan Umno’s proposal to nominate
imprisoned former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.
“So far I have
not received any information and I will refer to the Election
Commission and the state (government) legal adviser… should there be any
nomination,” he said at a press conference in Kuantan, Pahang today.
He
was asked to comment on Pekan Umno chief Zamri Ramly’s statement
yesterday which confirmed that Najib’s name was among five candidates
presented by the division for the Pekan parliamentary seat in the
upcoming general election.
Zamri reportedly said there was no plan to field Najib's children to contest in Pekan if the incumbent MP loses his eligibility to defend the seat.
Cogito Ergo Sum : Nominate Najib please. Everyone knows him in Pekan. He will get the most votes while the others will lose their deposits.
