Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Disrespectful: Cops probe man for damaging Deepavali kolam
Monday, October 31, 2022
Malaysiakini : A video clip showing an individual damaging Deepavali kolam
decoration at a private hospital started making its rounds on social
media today and irked many netizens, who criticised the man's action as
being disrespectful.
The incident prompted police to launch an
investigation under the Penal Code for the insult against religion,
which is punishable with a jail sentence of not less than two years.
In the 39-second video clip on TikTok, a man clad in a baju Melayu was shown walking on the decoration and using the tip of his shoes to damage it.
It
had caught the attention of many netizens who lambasted the man,
including one man who appeared on a TikTok video demanding the
perpetrator make a public apology.
OCT : If this incident is reversed i.e. a NM has done such an incident, the culprit will not be called to have his statement recorded. The culprit will be detained swiftly for his own safety. Bet you, it will end up as a misunderstanding.
The culprit will be given a warning not to repeat it. No arrest and no court appearance. All Muslims and Malys are good Rakyat. Police will ask the Rakyat not to create tension for a small misunderstanding. Case closed. Culprit walks free.
AntiRacial : Hope the case will not be closed with NFA stating he is mentally unsound!
ScarletTrout2788 : Another form of "Ketuanan Melayu". Wonder what Hadi Awang has to say
Mazilamani : This is one incident that can be traced back to decades of overly religious unfluencing effects of our education system and unguided and careless upbringing by parents to respect and treat the beliefs of with sensitivity and politeness.
Perhaps the Nons are forgiving and mature enough to notify their disgust with just words, written or verbal.
Just imagine the consequences that could have been created, especially when we are in the midst of preparing for a GE, if the opposite had happened. I shudder to imagine.
Sad to say that those in authority who can make the changes choose to remain silent when such matters happen .
I am sure and hoping to see the Employer take the right action.
Vijay47 :
First of all, I must compliment the Police Force and in particular Klang Utara Police Chief S. Vijaya Rao for the very gentle and amiable manner in which they have handled a delicate situation. And to digress a little, we should also be understanding towards the man who created the tense incident in respect of a religious expression.
It is likely that he had not been subject to any decent parental upbringing in his uneducated childhood and hence, his deviant behavior of this nature.
But can you really blame him? Hadi Awang has been allegedly making offensive statements on race and religion, a practice now apparently adopted fervently by Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, with neither of them by subject to any action by our otherwise vigilant PDRM.
This must obviously mean that such acts are quite acceptable in our country, in keeping with our Keluarga Malaysia virtues..
I note that what that man did has been described as disrespectful to Hindus. Disrespect? Is that how we describe an act that could have resulted in a serious racial confrontation?
Would things have been similarly tolerated had a Hindu taken out a parang on the mad man who quaintly enough, was dressed in baju Melayu?
Coming back to you, S. Vijaya Rao (not related to me, Thank God!), you have informed that “The suspect will be called to give his statement at Klang Utara district police headquarters.”
Again how kind of you, sir! No midnight raid already underway by the SWAT Pasukan to drag the suspect by the scruff of his neck to the balai polis?
When he does finally decide to grace your office, don’t forget to serve him murukku and payasam, in keeping with the Deepavalli season.
You might also wish to invite Hadi Awang and Tajuddin Abdul Rahman to enhance the spirit of the occasion.
Yes, S. Vijaya Rao, Mahatma Gandhi (A Very Poor Example) would so proud of you.
Annonnymous 080 : How sad ya, certain community do not teach respect to other's custom BUT demand absolute adherence to theirs!
What kind of upbringing is this?
Probably they should go back to learn MORAL at SPM instead of religion!
GrayTuna3678 : Insulting culture AND religion.
What do the Hindus want?
1. A public apology
2. KPJ to sack him and the one who recorded his act if they are their staff.
3. Arrested, tried and jailed for causing disharmony just like some others who had insulted the majority faith previously!
4. He is not to be let off the hook with the excuse that he is of an unsound mind, like it happens all the time with anyone who insults NMs.
Proarte : We cannot forget and forgive criminality. What the man did was a criminal offence according to the law. Unless he is proven to be mentally unsound, the rule of law should prevail.
Vijay47 : Proarte:
In the first place, I don't think KPJ will employ insane people.
They would be mad to do it!
ScarletMacaw4136 : This happened because of race based politics and racial comments by politicians themselves. Now want to take action konon nya. You breed this kind of idiots
Belakang Masuk : Send him to jail. Show that the Law is equal to all. Only then will Malaysia prosper. If we operate on double standards, Malaysia will become a failed nation over time.
anonymous 8ef934a1 : His parents never teach him about respect. And there are many more such idiots in the country. Sick
Mano : How about the people giggling and egging him on?
Two or three people perhaps?
