Rudyard Kipling"
āWhen you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldierā
General Douglas MacArthur"
āWe are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.ā
āIt is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.ā āOld soldiers never die; they just fade away.
āThe soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.ā
āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .ā āThe object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
āNobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
āIt is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
UiTM sacks lecturer in 'lewd survey' case By Shakira Buang
Friday, September 30, 2022
Malaysiakini : Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has terminated the service of a
lecturer who was recently implicated in an alleged sexually laced survey
against a female student.
In a statement, the university announced that the decision was with immediate effect. It
also stressed that the institution takes any claim of sexual harassment
involving its current and former students seriously and thus launched
an investigation into the allegation.
This was done according to provisions under the Statutory Bodies (Discipline and Surcharge) Act 2000 (Act 605). Elaborating further, the university said it conducted a thorough
investigation starting last year to collect evidence before it was able
to prove the offence and decide on punishment.
āAfter all
questioning procedures and internal investigations were done, the case
was taken to the highest level of the disciplinary committee and UiTM
hereby decided to terminate the service of the said lecturer with
immediate effect,ā the statement read. UiTM vice-chancellor Roziah
Mohd Janor was also quoted as saying that the academic community of
UiTM was always reminded from time to time about Act 605.
āUiTM
will not compromise and will definitely take strong action if anyone is
found guilty of violating the law or acting in a manner which can be
constituted as disobeying orders.ā
apanama is back : Actually, conducting a survey on sexual awareness is not wrong. In other news portal, the survey questionaire are posted and the questions are obscene towards the female student.
Moreover, this female had complained about it one year back and this week she complain why there is no actions taken. I believe the UiTM should have felt the pressure. Moreover, more female students came forward once this particular female came forward with this lecturer's unethical behaviour.
You may read yesterday's news titled at FMT, "Why no action against ālewdā lecturer, asks ex-UiTM student'.
A screenshot of Farah Azuin Razakās tweets alleging she had been sexually harassed by her lecturer. (Twitter pic) and screenshot of the alleged āobsceneā questionnaire she received from her lecturer are posted in the news as well.
apanama is back : Sacking the lecturer is one thing. Arrest that fellow and prosecute him in the court of law.
His conviction and subsequent sentence should be a deterrent to other teaching staffs that you should respect the students especially the female students in the higher learning institute.
This kind of incident is frequently taking place. Mostly are not reported. My salute to the young lady who take the bull by the horns. Do not let this fellow free. Teach him a lesson.
I am willing to contribute whatever amount I could afford if you need for your legal fight. Remember we have Penal Code, Sexual Harassment Act etc. as a protection for women.
OCT : PAS will insist that such incidents should not be reported as it will shame the victim family. Bet you PDRM will not take any action as UiTM has taken action against the culprit. This has been stated previously by PDRM in a similar case before.
This story is so blur that Rakyat doesn't know who is who except student and lecturer. UiTM should also reported the case to PDRM to give support to the student. This gives confidences to all students and a warning to lecturers that there is no tolerance for misconduct.
